The fog adds to the loneliness in the scene. Yeah, a teeny portion top-right got washed out, but it's still my fav bridge pic.
About This painting captures a red iron girder beam steel bridge with bright blue skies in and urban architectural setting. This acrylic painting on paper is framed in dark wood with a cream colored mat. Rolland has always been fascinated by the built environment. Reflecting on what the structures tell about their builders as well as their interaction with nature and the results of time. He focuses on the engineering ingenuity that created Chicago’s many bridges. Structural elements are abstracted from their context and painted with a hard-edged realism on a scale that highlights the monumentality of the forms and the creativity necessary for their existence. The bridge was built in 1787 and still standing. Some modern builders should look at this and take a lesson from it. Beautiful and functional as well.

We have long wanted to build a bridge over the lake end of the brook. It is an essential part of the landscaping, as without it one has...
Nur-Sultan is divided into two parts: the right bank and the left bank, and they are separated by a river called 'Yesil' in Kazakh and 'Ishim' in Russian. The banks are connected with bridges. If you want to enjoy the atmosphere of the city and you like walking, I recommend using pedestrian bridges. Walking over these crossings from one shore to another, you will get to experience the best views of the city. The sightseeing is possible at Seruen, Karaotkel, and Atyrau, three pedestrian bridges spreading at a total distance of one kilometer between all of them!
