Nå er vi igang med en ny oppgave hos Vintage Udfordring. Denne gangen lyder utfordringen "Love is in the air"-Valentine Mitt inspirasjonsbidrag denne gangen er helt uten bilde eller stempler.

Hello everyone! Today I am sharing a card that I have created using paper from the Vintage Summer Basics Collection. I love using dies when creating cards and I have had this card planned in my head f
It's that time again! I know I mentioned that the new Maja Moodboard is posted the first Tuesday of every month but I have to correct that, since the beginning of the new year it is now the firs SATURDAY of the month. That being said here is the gorgeous Moodboard for February!... I love that the moodboard for February is not your typical pink/red/white color combination (although I do love to scrap pink)...this mood board has such lovely shades of violet/purple/plums with some beautiful neutrals. The moodboard is based on colors in the 'Ska vi ta en Fika?' collection. I used mostly papers from the above collectin but added a little bit in from the Vintage Spring Basics collection as well (striped background for the card) and a little bit of Vintage Autumn Basics (clocks). The roses I used on this card are from an old package of Prima flowers I had in my stash, mixed with small white roses from Dusty Attic Designs. The vine flourish design was cut from Maja papers using the Cheery Lynn Fanciful Flourish die cut. I created a shabby-chic frame design for my card title with a Dusty Attic Design frame and some white pearl 3D paint (I used Scribbles brand found in the T-shirt section of Michaels Craft Shop). Here is an even closer view of the frame. I usually like to machine stitch on my cards but I ran out of the heavy duty upholstery thread I ususally use for stitching on my cards and layouts, so I had to cheat and draw on the stitch design with a brown pen. Maja Design papers used on this project: ~ Ska vi ta en Fika (Favoriter, Blommor på bordet, Våffla m björnbärssylt-bs, Söders höjder - bs) ~ Vintage Spring Basics (8th of April-bs) ~ Vintage Autumn Basics (XVI) - clocks ~ Life in the Country (Sowing Seeds-bs) I hope you get a chance to play along with this months moodboard challenge at Maja Design, there is a beautiful Maja Design collection (of your choice) up for grabs as the prize each month! You can find the challenge information HERE. You can also see more inspiration from our talented design team there, to get your creativity going! Thanks so much for stopping by today and for all the lovely comments, you guys are the best! xo xo
Hello, again! Today I'm sharing a card that combines my latest fixation with mixed media supplies and my long-time "fully-loaded shabby chic" card style. I was playing with some of my sprays one day, and noticed that the rose, dark tan, and silver looked pretty fun sitting there together on my craft sheet. But instead of creating one of my "smoosh papers" I decided to tape off a card-sized piece of mixed media paper and spray and spritz the three colors where I wanted them...and it ended up looking just the way I had hoped it would... The fun part is that the rose and the gray sprays both have a bit of iridescence to them, while the tan color is a flat paint...here you can see the glisten in the rose and grey that I mixed a bit in the corner... Yet when you hold the card at a different angle, you can really see the depths of the individual colors... Here are a few detail shots, starting at the upper left corner working around the card... The largest pink rose in the left corner is made using Spellbinders' Rose Creations dies...it started as a white rose, and was colored with Victorian Velvet Distress Ink and a few spritzes of water... You know how I love to nestle pearls inside flower clusters...I'm not sure I'll ever be able to break that habit :) ... In the center is a fun loopy die cut using one of Tim Holtz' new mixed media dies. I cut it once from deep rose cardstock and a second time from a lighter rose color...offset them a little bit before attaching them to the card...then decided they needed a light dusting of white craft paint to distress them just a tad... Supplies: Color Mediums: Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays: Alpine Ice Rose, South Shore Sand, Gag Me With a Spoon Gray; Liquitex Ink! Titanium White Stencil: The Crafters Workshop "Mini Art Is" Art Mediums: Golden Modeling Paste Dies: Sizzix Flowers Branches & Leaves; Sizzix/Tim Holtz Scribbles & Splats; Spellbinders Rose Creations Small paper roses: Wild Orchid Crafts Pearls: Recollections Miscellaneous: lace pieces, twine, pink crystal stems, white craft paint Thanks so much for visiting today...have a great weekend! (And U.S. friends, don't forget to "spring forward" for the switch to Daylight Savings Time this weekend.)

Hi everybody, I'm still around! lol
Hi everyone, today I though I would share with you some cards I made as guest designer this month for Cheery Lynn Designs. I began with a base made fromt the NEW Bo Bunny 'The Avenues' Collection papers. I thought I would play a little bit with the Sweet Williams Flower strip. For the card above I used a misting technique, moistening the flower petals and giving them a little crinkle. For these blooms I used the smallest petal cuts for the center and 2 of the largest (for the large blooms) and I used the 2 of the medium petal cuts forthe medium blooms. I used some Honey distress ink in the centers of the blooms so that the color would fade out (note: I did the tinting step before I did the water/wrinkling technique). Here is a close-up view of the blooms..... Cheery Lynn Dies used for this project: ~ Sweet Williams D-137 ~ Fanciful Flourish B-117 ~ Manon's Wedding Garland DL218 ~ Ivy Corner Flourish B-315 Bo Bunny Products used: Patterned Paper: The Avenues (Home, Antique, Song Bird) Cardstock: Double Dot (Khaki) Trinkets: The Avenues, Apple Cider Pearl Flourish: Bo Bunny Frosting Jewels I don't know about you but personally I like to get all I can out of a die, so I thought I would try using the Sweet Williams petals the way I would prep a rose bloom. I thought the results were very close to a rose bloom. I basically used the curling techniqued I showed you all on the video I posted last Tuesday. Just gently curling back the petals to create a softer rounder bloom. I used 2 of the smallest petal cuts for the 'bud' center of the flower. Then I used 1 of the next size up and 2 of the next size up after that (this makes up the smaller roses on this card). To make the large rose just add two of the largest petal cuts. Here is another close up view of the blooms. I just left the paper as is, no extra tinting on this one. I find the flower centers curled tightly together create their own depth of color. I finished the card using more of the beautiful Fanciful Flourish cuts and little pieces of the Ivy Corner Flourish, as well as the intricate and beautiful Celtic Heart. In the corners I added a few pieces of the Dusty Attic Brick Panel chipboard pieces. (these I first white washed with some Gesso and then inked with some brown, green and yellow chalk inks, once dry I dry brushed on a little more white gesso). Cheery Lynn Products used for this project: ~ Sweet Williams D-137 ~Fanciful Flourish B-117 ~ Ivy Corner Flourish B-315 ~ Celtic Heart B-144 Bo Bunny Products used: Patterned Paper: The Avenues (Bird Song, Clocks) Cardstock: Double Dot (Chiffon) Noteworthy: The Avenues (Title background) Stamps: You're Invited (Large Stamps) Jewels: The Avenues I hope you enjoyed my projects today and hope that I've inspired you to play with your dies a little and see what different ways you can put them to use! xo
