Illustrator and ceramicist Charlotte Mei has been working away on a series of paintings featuring abstracted and contorted figures. “They are studies in colour, all of observed stuff and friends. Some bodies are loungey, some more contorted. It’s cool to think how much you can explore and express with your bod,” she says.

As a two year resident of San Francisco, I can say with confidence, that you can never own enough jackets! Not necessarily your down or fleece-lined parkas, but lightweight jackets that are easy to layer with are a wardrobe necessity. Although the temperature may rise to a gorgeous cloudless 70 degrees during the day, once the evening strikes and the wind picks up, it gets chilly – even during the summer months. When I came across this black and white patterned jacket at H&M, I grabbed it up immediately. Fitted and just the right weight, this classic beauty is suitable for wearing all year round. This weekend I paired it with a light pink sleeveless blouse and white bandage skirt (black would work too). Although I am a huge fan of monochromatic color schemes, I incorporated pale pink for a nice feminine touch. On a cooler day, I might style this jacket with black slacks and a white button-down boyfriend shirt. I polished off my Sunday Funday look with pearl jewelry and my favorite black and white tassel sandals from ShoeDazzle.
