Ever had a stamp set you just had to have? I saw this adorable Avery Elle set about a month ago and fell in love. It has been out of stock everywhere, but last week a friend saw that it was available and messaged me. So... lol I thought it would be super fun with this week's sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch. I also am entering at the AE I heartU challenge to use embellishments! It's a bit strange that I love it so much since I'm terrified of balloons! Sorry for the lack of posts this week. Yesterday was my 10th wedding anniversary so Jason and I spent the day out and about. He rented this cool car and we drove it down to the Kemah Boardwalk and spent some time just walking around. We rode the ferris wheel and had dinner at The Aquarium. I was a bit bummed when we had to return the car today, but I had a blast driving it as it's my dream car! He even put Laila's car seat in it today and we took her for a ride around the neighborhood with the top down. She LOVED it and so did we. :) She also got to play outside for a while today. It was just a beautiful, beautiful day!
Welcome back to the new color story for The Play Date Cafe! Not only do we have a fun and fresh color combo, but we have a sponsor (meaning a PRIZE) that y'all will loooove Say hello to Orange Zest, Chartreuse, and Jade Since our lovely sponsor this week is Avery Elle, I used my newest Avery Elle stamp: "Party Animal" I created little birthday tags to attach to a goodie bag. I filled the bag with 'confetti' (sequins) thinking everrry birthday party needs some confetti. It just makes post-party clean up much more exciting :) This little balloon animal stamp is perfect with Versamagic chalk inks, and really gives a great 'balloon' look. I used Nestabilities dies to cut the squares and popped up the second square with foam dots. I fussy cut the balloon and adhered it to the tag. The banner stamp is from Simon Say Stamp 'Happy Everyday' set. We can't wait to have you join us in the Cafe! Link up your project (any type of project!) to the gallery for a chance to win some Avery Elle and our Cup of the Week :) <3 Rachel w k

OK on to my next card for Day 3 of OCC's SYS2 class. This card utilizes Stephanie's Word Art Stenciling technique with sentiment stamps. OH how I heart this technique! I don't have any "scene" type stencils but I had recently made my own stencil using transparency and my Avery Elle Balloons dies so I used that. Here's my card: I love one layer cards that have fun techniques! Notice that stray turquoise balloon in the upper right corner? When I was shading my large balloon I missed protecting the corner and smudged ink in the corner, when I discovered my boo-boo I stenciled a naked (sans text) balloon to cover it up! Thanks for checking out my card! Ingredients: Winnie & Walter The Big, the Bold & the Happy; Avery Elle Balloons dies and stamps
Today I made another card with the Monsters stamp set from Avery Elle. I started by stamping all the images. First I stamped the box and then three of the monsters. I wanted it to look like they popped out of the box. Around them I stamped the balloon image a couple of times and some of the candy images. When I stamped the balloons, I had to mask of some of the other images, so it appeared that they are behind the monsters. I colored all the images with Copic Makers. Here are the colors I used: Orange monster: Y08 – Y17 – YR68 Green monster: YG03 – G07 – G14/ V04 – V06 Pink monster: RV13 – RV21 – R22/ BG23 – BG49 Balloons: BG13 – BG23 – BG49/ Y08 – Y17 – YR68/ V04 – V06 Candy: RV21 – R22/ YG03 – G14/ Y08 – Y17 – YR68 Box: E11 – E21 – E25 Floor: W2 – W5 – W7 I didn’t want to color the entire background as well, so I decided to stamp the string confetti in different colors. I used three different ink pads. Sugarplum and Carrot ink from Lawn Fawn and Sour Apple ink from My Favorite Things. They coordinate with the colors I used for the monsters, balloons and candy. For the rest of the background I used my Wink of Stella clear glitter pen, that the background isn’t just white but glittery. I adhered the panel flat to a black cardbase, added some white lines onto the ballons and that finishes my card. Thanks for visiting my blog. Please leave a comment and follow/ subscribe to my blog!

Good morning! Today some of the Ellen Hutson Design Ambassadors are hopping to celebrate the new Avery Elle Release (see below for hop and SALE details)! I don't make fully-coloured scene cards like this very often, but I do enjoy it - especially when I can combine sets to create something so fun! I combined the new Fairy Happy stamp set with 2 older sets - Rainbows and Banner Bits. I created a colourful scene by placing the rainbow stamp on a panel of white cardstock in my MISTI. I then placed the 3 fairy stamps on top of the rainbow stamp, where I wanted them (I love how that one little fairy is sitting on the cloud!). Then I picked up just the fairies with the MISTI door and stamped them with black Gina K Amalgam ink. I cut masks from full-back sticky notes and then stamped the rainbow over top. I stamped some of the little hearts from Rainbows and the little magic fairy-dust stars from Fairy Happy. I blended some Fiesta Blue ink around for the sky, using a Life-Changing blender brush. Then came a lot of Copic colouring. After colouring the rainbow and the hearts, I decided to keep the fairies pretty neutral, including their hair! I stamped the sentiment onto a white banner, and layered it onto a black banner , just slightly offset, to add some definition to the bottom of my scene. To add sparkle I did 3 things: I sprayed Avery Elle Clear Shimmer Spray all over the panel (and the sentiment) I added Nuvo Aqua Shimmer pen to the fairies' dresses I put Star Dust stickles on the wings, hearts and around the edge of the white sentiment banner. Today we have JJ with this fun card using our Celebrate and Party Animal balloon stamp sets. I love her stamped background and how the balloon is coming out of the page. Heather created this card using Oh Happy Day and Texture Tiles: Be Cool. One of the great things about Texture Tiles is the many uses that it has. You can use the images alone or use them to created additional depth and texture for stamps you already own. This is exactly what Heather has done here by "kissing" or stamping the patterns onto inked up solid stamp images. I love sets that are so versatile. Be sure to check out Heather's blog for more details! Thanks for stopping by to take a peek. Have a great day!
Happy Monday crafty friends! I am loving all the new releases so far this year! Avery Elle is not an exception. When I picked-up this stamp set I couldn't wait to get inky. This card is extra special because it was made for a very dear friend who has a birthday tomorrow! I started by stamping my flowers and leaves from the new Hand Drawn Florals by Avery Elle using my Misti. I used my Copic markers with the flicking technique to offer white highlights on the flowers and leaves. Once I finished my colouring I placed my paper back in the Misti and stamped with VersaMark clear ink so that I could gold emboss my images. I then used the accompanying dies. I paired the Altenew Watercolor Stripes Background Die with a black card stock backer, I felt it offered a nice graphic element to the card. I used my gold embossing powder for the sentiment from the fantastic AE Loads of Wishes set. I put my card together and added some Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins. Thanks so much for taking the time! Kim

Hi Everyone! I'm excited to share Looking for Rainbows and the Happy Birthday die. The bunny has the cutest expression and adds joy to any card! I started by stamping and die cutting the bunny. The umbrella is paper pieced. I used two shades of light pink to add a little variation. I colored the rest of the bunny with Copics. I added the bunny to the Picture Perfect Die cut and then added the Happy Birthday die at the bottom. I can't wait to use this card for an upcoming spring birthday. I think it will be perfect! I was able to whip up another batch of birthday cards for Andrew's students the other night. This time I pulled out my new Avery Elle Fill in the Blanks Dies/stamps, designed by my friend JJ. These dies are perfect for knocking out a bunch of cards at one time since you can use the positive/negative cuts to create different cards. Bonus: all cardstock came from the scrap pile. Super easy and super fun. I enlisted the help of my Xyron for adhering the die cuts. And in case you're wondering, I have both sets of fill in the blanks, so the T's came from the THANKS die in the Holiday set. Short and sweet today. Hope that you are having a great week! Here comes the summer birthdays oh my....do you need tags I sure do, I am always looking for some fun ones to use on my birthday packages, though I think with this sweet Bonjour Stamp Set you will be able to use it on many, many fun and different creative projects. I started my tag by first taking a tag die and running it through my Craftwell eBosser along with a pretty piece of printed paper. I stamped the border stamp that comes in the Bonjour Stamp set along the edges in black ink. Stamping and coloring my treats I had stamped from the Bonjour Stamp Set with Copic Markers I cut them out with the matching Bojour Elle-ments Die Cut with my eBosser, placed them on my tag, adding one with pop dots. I used a "Have a Sweet Birthday" sentiment from the set with Black Memento Ink and added a fun bow to the top of the tag. I hope you check out Avery Elle Stamps and Craftwell eBosser as well as check out both of the blogs for some fabulous inspiration. Hi Everyone! Ashley here today sharing the super fun stamp set Critter Crew. This is one of those amazing sets that packs a ton of cute animals in to the perfect card sized stamp. I love it! To create my card I started by water coloring the background and flicking on extra color. Next, I stamped and die cut the adorable animals. I paper pieced the box and colored the animals with Copics. To create the box I just used kraft paper and drew the dots with a slightly darker shade of Copic marker. I finished the card with an embossed sentiment on a die cut banner and some twine. Hello, hello! I'm back with an Oh Snap card. I love this little mini. It's so stinking fun and perfect to whip up a good birthday card. For my card, I used the new Easy Layers 1 die to create the perfect backdrop. Then, I stamped, die cut and colored in my alligator. I love how the die comes with inner confetti dies. I just die cut the confetti with white cardstock and colored it in with a marker. That's it for me today! Thanks for stopping by!
