Good Saturday morning, peeps. My card today is one I created for my daughter and son-in-love. They just moved from upstate NY to eastern TN and had a brand new house built. The moving van just arrived yesterday so they will be quite busy settling in. They have already made memories since living in the house with no bed and no sofa. The moving company lost their sofa! At least my card arrived on time and the post office didn't lose it!! I used Gorgeous Grape cardstock for my base, Very Vanilla cardstock and the retired Tin Tile 3D Embossing Folder for the front panel. The Designer Series Paper is the retired Botanical Butterflies. For the inside, I used a die from the Scalloped Contours Dies to create the frame (more Botanical Butterflies DSP) for the computer printed greeting. That is also cut with the same die package. I'm entering my card in the Can You Handle The Pressure Challenge and Inkspirational Challenge #273. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will be having a great weekend and that you will become one of my followers. I'm still trying to get that number from 85 to 100 by the end of the year!
Finally Friday! Hope you have a great weekend planned. I'll be going to my friends' house for dinner Saturday afternoon with two other couples. Sunday I hope to do Sunday School and church. Our class has been studying John and we have to vote on a new assistant pastor. Both events are exciting. One of my neighbors lost her husband this week. He, like Perry, fought the good fight against cancer. They were married over 60 years and they had a wonderful life together. We even went to Disney with them once and had a great time. So, I got out the retired Thoughtful Prayers stamp set, a Darice embossing folder and the current Seasonal Layers dies to make a card for her. My card base is Very Vanilla. I took a 5 1/2" x 4" piece of Cajun Craze and ran it through my Big Shot with the embossing folder. I wrapped a piece of braided linen thread around it and adhered it to the back with tape. Using the dies, I cut out a solid Copper Foil maple leaf and a Very Vanilla veined maple leaf. I sponged it with Blackberry Bliss, Old Olive and Crushed Curry Inks and adhered it to the big leaf. I put Dimensionals on the back of that and adhered it to the card front. Then I tied a faux bow around the stems. For the inside I used a floral spray stamp and sentiment stamp from Thoughtful Prayers. The spray is inked in Cajun Craze and the sentiment is the three colors I used for the small maple leaf. My color inspiration came from Always Fun Challenge #128. The colors definitely shout autumn and that is the challenge at C.R.A.F.T. #528 this week. Thank you for stopping by today and I'll see you tomorrow.

Today is a wonderful day, not only because it's Fun Fold Friday, but because this is my second time as Guest Designer for Stamping Secrets Creative Creases. This is challenge #35 and it's always Anything Goes with a Fun Fold. I do hope you'll participate in the challenge. I used two current Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets to create my card and a retired Designer Series Specialty Paper (Expressions in Ink). My card base is Polished Pink Cardstock which measures 7" x 5 1/4". I scored it on the 7" side at 4 1/4", folded and burnished it. I cut pieces of Basic White measuring 4" x 5" for the inner liner and 2 3/4" x 4" for the art panel. I stamped that piece in Evening Evergreen ink (1st and 2nd generation) with the spot stamp from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. I stamped the "Happy Birthday" from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set in VersaMark Ink and heat embossed it with Gold Emboss Powder. The gold striped DSP is from the Expressions in Ink pack and measures 4" x 4". It is scored and folded at 3". The 1" part is centered vertically and adhered to the back of the inner liner before the liner is adhered to the card base, thus creating a "flap". So, do your stamping while the inner liner is free. My sentiment is from the Happiness Abounds Stamp Set and the little flowers are from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set. Then I adhered the Happy Birthday piece to the gold striped flap. I stamped a rose from the Artistically Inked Stamp Set in Polished Pink and fussy cut it. I had some Gold Glimmer Paper leaves in my stash and adhered those under the rose that I adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. Next I worked on the front flap panel. I adhered a gold foil mat 2 1/2" x 5" to it and then adhered a 2" x 5" piece of Expressions in Ink to it. Et voila, the card was done. This card was so much easier than the one I created for the June 10 Creative Creases Challenge! I'm entering this card in the Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #184. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you will try your hand at this and come back and visit me on Sunday. Have a great weekend and thank you, Debbie, for inviting me to be Guest Designer for your wonderful Creative Creases Challenge Blog. It's been a blast!!

This is the second card that I have made this week with the M & M Pack and the large card base. Here's a refresher of the first one. I love the sparkle and shine of the 6" x 4" card from the pack so I'm entering my card at Creative Knockouts #362. I wrapped a piece of gold thread from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack "around the world", adhering it to the back with tape. The quote is from one of the 3" x 4" cards in the pack. I used a die from the Rectangle Stitched Dies to cut it out. I placed it on the gold trim with Dimensionals. I then adhered the world (Columbus would have been right in this instance...the world is flat!) to a Whisper White mat. I adhered that to a Mossy Meadow mat and that to the card base. UnstampaBelles is a challenge site where you must do NO stamping! This month they are challenging participants to create their own background. I think I met that challenge with my card front. I am pleased with how it turned out and I thank my team mate, Donna Leonard, for allowing me to CASE her card. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you enjoy the remainder of your weekend. I’m sharing a few projects created by some of my very talented Stampin’ Up! team members with you all today.
I used Stampin' Up! Brewed for You, Whiskey Business and Half Full (retired), along with Stampendous House Mouse Stamp Sets to create my card today for Let's take a closer look, shall we? The sentiment is from the Brewed for You Stamp Set, as is the first image. The center image is from Stampendous House Mouse series and the last image is from the retired Half Full Stamp set (Stampin' Up!). My card base is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", scored and folded at 4 1/4". I adhered a 5 1/4" x 4" mat of Gray Granite cardstock to the base and then stamped the images on a piece of Basic White 5 1/8" x 4 1/8". I ran that through my embossing machine using the Cane Weave 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the card front with liquid glue. For the inside... I used the Brewed for You Stamp Set for both the sentiment and images. Hello my stamping friends! Welcome to our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew hop. Our theme for this month is "Celebrate" and we can interpret that any way we want and use any product we wish. Here is what I created for it... Let's take a closer look at what I created, shall we? My card base is Blackberry Bliss 8 1/2" (scored and folded at 4 1/4") x 5 1/2". Design a Daydream Designer Series Paper is 4" x 5 1/4". Sentiment is stamped with Blackberry Bliss ink on a scrap of Basic White and cut out with the smallest Deckled Rectangle Die then sponged with retired Mint Macaron ink. I added a bird from the Adhesive Backed Dragonflies & Birds. The inside is simple as well with a sentiment from the same stamp set as the front...the retired Approaching Perfection...same inks. Thank you for stopping by today. Clicking on the "Next" button will take you to Terry Lynn, and clicking on the "Previous" button will take you to Tara. Woo hoo! How excited I am!! I was blessed to win the StampingPals Challenge #5 and have been invited to be their guest designer for Challenge #7!! For the 2020-2022 In Color challenge I have chosen to use Just Jade, Magenta Madness, and Misty Moonlight. We are free to use black, white, or vanilla as well. I used the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set for my creation. My inspiration came from Melissa Kerman with her Fun Fold card. Measurements are listed below, along with some needed supplies. In essence, I started out with a piece of Misty Moonlight card stock on which I stamped the feather from Tasteful Touches in Misty Moonlight ink. Next time I will stamp closer to the edge. Then I stamped the arm for the flap with the feather. It barely shows so I would do that closer to the edge next time as well. I adhered that with Tear n' Tape to the right edge, half way between the top and bottom. I then cut the actual piece that serves as the card out of Basic Black card stock. I stamped the foliage in Memento Tuxedo Black on the Whisper White panel and colored the leaves with my Light Just Jade Stampin' Blend. I adhered the inner panel and the outer Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper with liquid glue. Next, I adhered the Basic Black card to the Misty Moonlight card base. Let's go step-by-step now: Stamp the flower on the Whisper White square and color it with Light and Dark Magenta Madness Stampin' Blends. Stamp the foliage alternating between first and second generation and color with the Light Just Jade Blend. Adhere it to its black mat and then to the Just Jade square so that it makes a diamond shape. Here's a refresher... Then on the back side of that diamond, adhere the second smaller square that is stamped with the foliage and colored the same as the other decorated pieces. The next photo is about the DSP portion. On the DSP part, line up the sentiment, which has been treated like the other stamped pieces and adhere that with liquid glue, making sure it is hidden when the front flap is closed. I don't have the equipment to make videos but you can always watch Melissa's if you have questions. I'm entering my card at Crafting Happiness Challenges Anything Goes #64. I hope you enjoyed my card today and I'm grateful I had the opportunity to design for StampingPals. My card today is one we made at our card group last Thursday. I never knew Stampin' Up! had chalks at one time; but, Sue had a palette of them and we used them for this card... I'm not sure what company made the stamp...I keep forgetting to look at the blocks. In any event, I will check with Sue on Thursday and update my blog. Update: The company is Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers and she has had it for years. The company went out of business in 2006 but there is one available on Ebay. This was the first time I've ever worked with chalks and I wish SU would bring them back. I will try this technique again because I think I need to learn how to get more depth with the colors. I did learn that using hair spray would set the colors but not to oversoak it! The theme at Global Design Project #183 this week is "A Day at the Park". This stamp reminds me of a National Park or a State Park where we would have gone RVing. It speaks majesty to me. Today is another hectic one for me thus it's a short blog. Thanks for stopping by. See you tomorrow.
I used the current Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder, retired Flower Shop Stamp Set and retired Part of My Story Stamp Set to create my card for today. We made this in our card group and Sue M. provided the kit and told us it was a CASE of Tami White. Hello everyone! Whether this is your first time visiting or if you are a follower, welcome and thank you! You are in for a treat with our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew blog hop. Our very talented team is doing a blog hop featuring Stampin’ Up! products. This month we are all creating projects with a “Celebrate" theme. I'm celebrating friendship with a couple who are always doing things to help me out and I wanted them to know I was thinking of them. My card base is Basic Black Cardstock with a panel of Basic White that I dry embossed with the Timeworn Type 3D EF. The flowers from the retired Flower Shop Stamp Set are stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. We covered them with Versamark Ink and heat embossed them with Clear Embossing Powder. We punched them out with the retired Pansy Punch. We also punched three black flowers. The stems are 1/8" strips of Basic Black cardstock as are the leaves which were punched from a punch that Sue had. I took two strands each of white and black baker's twine from the Essentials Pack to make my bow. The sentiment is from the retired Part of My Story Stamp Set and I punched it out, together with the black mat with the Double Oval Punch. For the inside... Another flower and another sentiment from the above stamp sets. Don't you just love black and white monochromatic cards? I know I do! Okay, let's get hopping! This is my second post for today as I found a challenge I wanted to enter because of the colors I chose from the Ken Oliver Color Burst collection that I have. Drue had fun watching the color burst! Let me show you what I created for AAA Cards: CAS Game #131 I believe this is the first time I have played at AAA Cards and I hope I followed their challenge closely enough. I rarely make a CAS card but I do like this one. My card base is Grapefruit Grove. The panel I cut with the Wonderful Floral Framelits edge die is Soft Sea Foam. It's the first time I have played with it and I have to keep trying to get it perfectly placed. The three pastel strips were created with the Color Burst Chartreuse, Tangerine and Lemon Lime. I fussy cut the butterfly from the Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series paper (free with purchase of $50). I'm not sure for what occasion I will use this so the inside is unfinished. But in the meantime, I will also enter it at Just Us Girls as I haven't played here in a long time. Thank you for stopping by again.
Can you believe I made this card in my lap while sitting on my LazyBoy recliner? It's true. Now do you see the beauty of these card packs? As a reminder, here's what is in the pack... 25 3" x 4" double-sided card panels 25 4" x 6" double-sided card panels 6 4" x 6" single-sided printed vellum panels 4 sticker sheets My card base is Basic Black 8 1/2" by 6 1/4", scored on the long side at 4 1/4". I took one of the 4" x 6" panels from the card pack and colored it with my Light and Dark Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow Blends. I adhered it to the card front. Then I took one of the 3" x 4" panels from the card pack, wrapped a piece of ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon Combo Pack around it and adhered it on the back with Dimensionals. From the same pack of ribbon, I created the Mary/Billie bow with the Mossy Meadow Linen Thread. I love this ribbon combo pack. The bow is adhered to the ribbon with a glue dot. I used one of the largest pearls from the Pearl Basic Jewels for some bling on the bow. The art panel is adhered to the card front with liquid glue. Because of my bow, I am entering my card at the Dream Valley Challenge #208. Voila fini! I haven't decided what to do with the inside. It might be an anniversary card for the Craft Fair sale or it might be something to do with friendship. We'll see. BUT, I can tell you what I HAVE decided...I've decided to enter it at Global Design Project 204 | CASE the Designer My card tomorrow is one that I made standing up! After Friday, I will be able get back in my craft room and begin creating cards the normal way. Friday I will be having surgery on my back...kyphoplasty. Doc says I should be able to resume to normal routines by the weekend. Woo hoo! Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll return tomorrow for our Thursday blog hop.
Good Tuesday morning, peeps! Unfortunately, I had to make a sympathy card for a friend who just lost her mother last week. She received a bouquet of red roses from friends and posted the picture on FB. I had already made her card and was so happy to see that they kind of matched. I used the stamps from the February 2021 Paper Pumpkin Kit "Bouquet of Hope" to create my card. My inspiration came from Rachel Coon. My card base is Cherry Cobbler, with a mat of retired SAB Flower & Field DSP. I used the Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut my DSP and art piece. The ribbon is retired as well. I stamped the image from the kit on a panel of Basic White using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the flowers and leaves with my Light and Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends, Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Blends, and Light and Dark Old Olive Blends. I punched a jar from vellum using the Jar Punch. I kept the inside very simple by only stamping the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler on a piece of Basic White cardstock and adhering a strip of the DSP. I love the sentiment from the Paper Pumpkin kit. I matted it on a piece of Basic Black cardstock. I'm entering my card in Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge 2127 and Craftyhazelnut's Patterned Paper July 2021. Thank you for stopping by today and let's hope and pray Elsa does not bring rain into my craft room and leaves my baby mockingbirds alone! The birds of the sky nest by the waters; they sing among the branches. Psalm 104:12
TGIF, peeps! No fun fold card today, just a funny, punny one! I created it for the Retro Rubber Challenge #191. The stamp sets I used are all retired: the "you" and bowl are from the What's Cookin' Stamp Set, which was on page 34 of the 2021-2022 AC. The "ME" is from the Label Me Bold Stamp Set from the 2020 Mini Catalog. The "Over" is from the Over the Moon Stamp Set from one of the catalogs in 2020. I used a digital for the bowling pins and fussy cut them. I am not the smoothest fussy cutter! Thank you for stopping by today and hope you enjoyed my punny card. I also hope you enjoy your weekend.

My card today is brought to you by the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set. It is also a CASE of my friend and upline, Mary Deatherage. You can see her card and tutorial video here. My card base is Thick Basic White Cardstock with a mat of Fresh Freesia and a mat of retired Delightful Daisy DSP. To that I adhered a piece of Fresh Freesia as the mat for a strip of another pattern of retired DSP (Gold Soiree). After I cut out the Fresh Freesia scalloped mat with the Scalloped Contours Dies, I stamped the corners with the stalks of grass in Fresh Freesia ink. I then cut a Gold Glimmer circle with the Layering Circles Dies and a smaller circle out of Basic White. I stamped the image from Beautiful Moments in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored the hair with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends. I colored their dresses with Light Fresh Freesia and Light Pale Papaya Blends. Everything so far has been adhered with liquid glue but the sentiment is raised with Stampin' Dimensionals. The inside is clean and simple. The shell in the corner is from the Friends Are Like Seashells Stamp Set and it's stamped in Pale Papaya Ink. The sentiment is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink. This is a card kit my sister-in-law and I put together on Wednesday for the card group which met yesterday. Unfortunately I couldn't go because I brought a cold home from Disney. It's the second time it's happened. Last time was worse because it was an upper respiratory infection! Thank you for stopping by today. Hope you are having a great weekend. I am because it's Stampin' Up! On Stage!! I made my first tag ever! This is the front. I do believe the wreath is the focal point so in it goes for the Wreath Focal Point Challenge at Mod Squad. Oh, how I would love the prize they are offering! In addition, I would like to add it to Watercooler Wednesday Anything Goes WWC147. If you haven't visited their sites, be sure to do that...you won't be disappointed! And now for the back: Most of the products used are shown below. The holly is a stamp from a previous Paper Pumpkin kit. However, there is one in the Merry Little Labels Stamp Set. The Cherry Cobbler pearls on the front are also from that same Paper Pumpkin kit. But, you could take regular pears and color it with the Cherry Cobbler marker. If you are interested in measurements or further details, please leave me a comment and I will send you an email. Good Monday morning, peeps. My card today was inspired by Verity Pursglove. I had no intention of having this bundle in my inventory until I saw her use the punch. My card base is Copper Clay Cardstock with a mat of Very Vanilla Cardstock. I punched 12 "X"'s and adhered them to a piece of Very Vanilla. I sponged them with Soft Suede ink, Copper Clay ink and Early Espresso ink. I stamped and cut the flowers from the Daisy Delight Bundle. I colored them with Light and Dark Flirty Flamingo and Lost Lagoon Blends. In hindsight, I wish I hadn't sponged the flower background but I thought it would give a vintage look. I adhered it to the front with Stampin Dimensionals. The "Congratulations!" is stamped on a Very Vanilla scrap with the Charming Sentiments Stamp Set using Copper Clay ink and cut out with the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. I adhered three Copper Clay 2023-2025 In Color Dots and I was done! Thank you for stopping by today. .
Happy Sunday, peeps! My card today is from a kit prepared by Deb for our Thursday card group. It was inspired by Robbie Susan Chandler's easel card. Deb had everything cut for us. All we had to do was dry emboss the Basic White panel with the Tim Holtz Alterations EF, arrange and adhere the pieces. The inside sentiment and mat was already punched or die cut for us so all we had to do was stamp it. Thank you for stopping by today and when you read this, I should be vacationing with my sister-in-law for a week. I hope you'll stop by for Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge tomorrow. My card today makes me happy! I made it to celebrate a friend's birthday next week. She lives in my community and this little girl reminds me of how "can't mention her name" would have looked as a little girl. The poodle reminds me of a poodle skirt she would have worn...maybe! This card was really easy to make using just one bundle! See the product list below. I'm not including the glue or die cutting machine because you can check my other posts or my online store for those! My card base is Powder Pink 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2". The inside uses a Whisper White mat 4" x 5 1/4" and the DSP is 3 3/4" x 5". On the outside I stamped the birthday hat and present in Powder Pink directly on the card base. From the Birthday Memories DSP, I die cut the poodle, balloons, banner (after stamping it in Pacific Point), little girl and the bouquet she is holding behind her back. Before I die cut the girl, I stamped her in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored her hair, hands and legs with the new Blends (Ivory, Crumb Cake and Daffodil Delight). I dotted her dress with the light Night of Navy blend to make it look like the dress on the DSP. I also colored the bouquet with watercolor pencils after stamping it in Memento Tuxedo Black and die cutting. For the inside, I die cut the Happy Birthday twice...once in Whisper White and once in Powder Pink and adhered them to each other with spray glue. After snipping the words apart, I adhered them to the DSP mat, cockeyed (more artistic expression would be asymetrically, I guess)! I die cut the girl out of the DSP and raised her up with dimensionals and placed her on the sentiment at an angle (smile). I got my inspiration for the inside from Melanie Coverton. The rest just came to me as I was looking at the stamps and dies. I can't wait to make another card with this set. It is so versatile and fun. Please check back to see what I do with it! I will stick a note inside as I didn't want to write on the card in case she wants to send it to someone else OR keep it on display. Of course, you know what I'm hoping for! Today's card is one we made at Carole's yesterday for our card group. I believe my card is CAS (clean and simple) for the The Card Concept 88 Challenge. If not, I hope the Card Concept DT will let me know. and I'm also playing at Happy Little Stampers Anything Goes With Dies Challenge for March. She spoils us rotten! She had the green paper already dry embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic TIEF and she had the stitched frames cut out. All we had to do was layer the frames, heat emboss the flower and put the card front together. I used my light Old Olive Blend to color in the flower and I sponged the edge of the square with Old Olive. The paper she used had a sheen to it so it wasn't SU paper. The little "thank you" was probably from Elizabeth Crafts or Starform. Thanks for stopping by. I don't usually post this later but I was working on one card all afternoon. You'll see it tomorrow if you come by for a visit.
Thursday was our card group meeting and we also celebrated Sue's birthday. She got some lovely cards from the group and I forgot to take a picture of them and the group! BUT, I did get a photo of her cake!! You know where my mind runs... It tasted as wonderful as it looked. Meg did a great job of picking it out from Publix bakery. That decorator earns his/her money! Speaking of decorating, here are the cards we made... Sue provided lunch and the card kits! I decided to CASE the third one today and enter it in Just Add Ink #393..."Colour" Here you go... The stamp set and dies can be purchased as a Bundle here. This set is so versatile and I haven't even begun to touch the tip of the iceberg with it. I think this is only the second time I've used it so I hope it sticks around for next year! My card base is Whisper White and the mat is Crumb Cake. The Lemon Lime Twist strip is from the Eastern Palace DSP. I used Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide for my cut outs and Tranquil Tide for ink. The center circle is stamped with two stamps from the set. The center of the "flower" is a Gold Faceted Gem. Thank you so much for stopping by!
I finished off some cards with sentiments and insides today. My friend ordered two anniversary cards. I didn't have time to make them from scratch so cards I had left blank paid off. The first card is for the parents of the daughter and son-in-law of the second card. The parents have been married 27 years and the daughter has been married a year. Exciting for both couples! Thanks for looking.
Good Saturday morning, peeps! I have two cards for you today. One is sketch 5 and the other is sketch 6 for Kendra's Card Challenge #13. I submitted these in January but never posted them here. I love that her challenge lasts for 3 months with three sets of 15 different cards. I didn't win a prize in January, but I'm hoping for a win in February with all my "red" cards or a win in March with cards you'll get to see sometime in March! So, back to the cards at hand... For these cards I used the Flight & Airy Designer Series Paper, which is free during Sale-A-Bration with a purchase of $50 before s/h and tax. There are only 5 more days of Sale-A-Bration and I am going to miss this beautiful paper. For my embellishments, I used Pool Party from the Glossy Dots Assortment on the first card. On the second card I used 1/4" Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon. The inside is unfinished so I can use them for any occasion. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for another Kendra sketch challenge.
Good Sunday morning, peeps! So, the front of my card is definitely not Stampin' Up! but the inside is. I used one of the digitals I won in a challenge and I absolutely love it! It has been mailed out to a wonderful doctor friend whose birthday is tomorrow and he is a very Godly man and loves eagles. He has tons of statues and framed pictures in his home. Thanks to Beverly Cole, I learned how to get the text on the digital. I hope he likes his card. Here's the Happiest of Birthdays inside... Happiest of Birthdays is a great stamp set. You NEED it and it's easy to purchase from my online store! Just click on the link and you're there!! I'm playing today at Through The Purple Haze #171 ATG; 2 Crafty Critter Crazies #42; and Watercooler Wednesday #289 Masculine Twist. Thank you for stopping by today.
Happy Tuesday, peeps! My friend, Susan, and I got together to try our hand at foiling. What a mess we had on our hands. Both our laminators jammed. Sue was quite successful in getting both unjammed and we found that using copy paper as the "envelope" was better than using parchment paper. I salvaged part of my foiling from the fiasco and here are foiled butterflies... The camera only picked up the beauty of the foil in the first strip. My mat is the retired Dazzling Diamonds DSP. My butterfly was one I found in my stash cut out of retired Gold Glimmer Paper using retired Butterfly Thinlits. I also used strips of Expressions of Ink Specialty DSP that I had left over from an upcoming card. I cut a 3/4" strip of Basic White cardstock and stippled it and edged it with Evening Evergreen Ink. I used the retired Vertical Greetings Stamp Set for my "thank you". I made the banner end with the Pick a Banner Punch and adhered two different sized Brushed Brass Butterflies. For the inside, I used the retired Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set for the sentiment and the butterfly is from the retired Butterfly Basics Stamp Set. The corners were punched with the Detailed Trio Punch. The ink and mat color is Soft Succulent. I'd like to enter my card in these challenges: Hand Stamped Sentiments #385 with their beautiful inspiration board. I was inspired by the butterflies and the wonderful green colors. Retro Rubber #178 Anything Goes as all the stamps I used are over a year old. Vertical Greetings I know goes back to 2017 and Butterfly Basics back to 2015. Hello my stamping peeps! Today's card is a CASE of Jan Clothier. The kit was put together by Sue M. in our Thursday card group. She made us work for this one...lol. We actually had to dry emboss, stamp, make our own die cuts and color! We've been spoiled in the past!! The card base is Crumb Cake Cardstock, with a mat of Basic White, to which 3 cut and embossed panels are adhered. We used the retired Wintry 3D EF for those. For the "sprigs" in the background and the coneflowers, we used dies from the retired Harvest Dies. We colored the flowers with Light & Dark Coastal Cabana Blends, Light & Dark Old Olive Blends and a Crumb Cake Stamp N Write Marker. The flowers are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The front sentiment piece was pre-cut and the stamp already mounted on a block so I can't identify either of those. (So, she spoiled us there!) The bow is Linen Thread. For the inside, we used another mounted stamped and that is unknown. I did punch the corners with the retired Detailed Trio Punch when I got home . Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you are having a great weekend.
Welcome to Technique Tuesday! This is the Joseph's Coat Technique, which I did here. That one was a CASE and this one is an original! I'm entering my card in the Try it on Tuesday Challenge - Emboss It. Here are the deets in a nutshell! Very Vanilla Base – 4 ¼ x 11, scored and folded at 5 ½ Early Espresso Mat – 3 ½” x 4 ¼” Crushed Curry Mat – 3 ¼” x 4 1/8” Very Vanilla Art Panel – 3 1/8” x 4” Sponge Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie on Very Vanilla art panel Stamp maple leaf and keys in VersaMark ink. Sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set Sponge Early Espresso all over art panel until it is shaded to your taste Wipe ink off with clean paper towel Adhere image to Crushed Curry Mat and that to the Early Espresso Mat Stamp the little maple leaf from the retired Colorful Seasons Stamp Set randomly in Crushed Curry, first and second generation on the card front. Then adhere image panel/mats to the card base. The tag is cut with the Tailored Tags Die Set and sponged with Early Espresso. The “Hello” is from the Forever Fern Stamp Set. I tied a piece of Faux Suede Ribbon through it and added 3 Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels. The sentiment tag is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals as is the framed image For the inside... The sentiment from the Through it Together Stamp Set is a little off kilter but so is my friend's life. Since I made this for a male friend who is going through a bit of a rough time, I am entering it in The Male Room Challenge #166 - Song Title. Mine is Autumn Leaves. So many people sang it but my favorite is Tony Bennett. My favorite instrumental version is Roger Williams. Oh, this brings back memories! In keeping with the fall theme, I'm also playing at Make The Cards Challenge #63 Last, but not least, I'm entering my card in the SUOC #310: Autumn/Fall. If you have made a fall card, think about entering it there. They need 15 cards submitted in order to pick a top 3. I'm #7 so we have 8 more to go! Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a terrific Tuesday.
Seriously, doesn't this look like something Aunt Bea from Mayberry RFD would be sporting? We made this at our Thursday card group and Sue M. provided the kit. If you follow me, you will have noticed my posts are quite short with not a lot of info, measurements, etc. There is a reason and if you'll tune in 9/2/23, you'll know why! Thanks for stopping by today. Be blessed and be a blessing!
Thank you for stopping here from wherever you came! We have a sketch challenge today and here is what I created for our hop. So, let's take a closer look, shall we? My Pretty Peacock base measures 4 1/4" x 11", scored and folded at 5 1/2". The Wild Wheat Designer Series Paper from the Fresh as a Daisy 12" x 12" pack measures 3 3/4" x 5". The second piece measures 3 3/8" x 4 5/8". Here's what's in the package...isn't it beautiful? The Distressed Gold Specialty Paper is cut out with a die from the Artistic set. I added three Brushed Brass Butterflies to finish the front. For the inside... The sentiment is stamped in Pretty Peacock Ink with a stamp from the Happy Labels set. I added one more butterfly which depleted my supply. Stampin' Up! has a lot available so I'm off to replenish! That's it for now, peeps. Clicking on the "next" button will take you to Akiko. Welcome to our SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop! If you love fun folds, you have come to the right place! The list of hoppers is at the end of my post and I do hope you'll hop along. I'm sure you'll be in for a real treat. My fold today is one I have never done before. Since I am still dealing with the after effects of that bad boy Ian, I had to keep it simple! My prototype uses the Alphabest Stamp Set and Best Label Punch, along with retired Close to My Heart patterned paper and cardstock from Office Max when it existed. Take a look see. For the second one I used no cardstock but only Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper, the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and Sunflowers Dies along with the sentiment from the Heron Habitat Stamp Set and punched it out with the Lovely Label Punch. I used Stampin' Blends to color the flower. Let me show you... So, I wasn't happy with either of them and decided to experiment on another with different measurements and product. This is what I came up with... I was happy with this one because it stands up and I wanted it for table favors. Let me give you the measurements and product used: White cardstock: 4" x 8 3/4", scored at 1", 1 1/2", 5" and 5 1/2"; fold into matchbook Crushed Curry cardstock: 3 7/8" x 3 1/8" (mat for main body) Rustic Harvest Designer Series Paper: 3 3/4" x 3" (main body); 4" x 1" (mat for sentiment) White cardstock for sentiment: 3 3/4" x 3/4" Acorns - fussy cut from Rustic Harvest DSP - adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals Velcro for the closure Swedish Fish or any pack of candy that fits properly inside the matchbook Old Olive, Cajun Craze and So Saffron Stampin' Blends to color the leaf Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have time to hop with us. Welcome to the Happy Inkin' Thursday blog hop. You're in for a treat if you have never visited before. It's a weekly challenge and this week we have a sketch challenge. I can't wait to see what the other team members created. Hop along with us at the bottom of my post. and here is what I created for it I'm playing today at Through The Craft Room Door ATG and how can I not play at Double D when it's a purple challenge, my favorite color! Isn't their mood board delicious? My card base is Purple Posy. I embossed a piece of Whisper White with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered it to the card base with liquid glue. Out of Highland Heather Card Stock, I cut a frame with the Ornate Layers Dies. I stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set on a scrap of Whisper White. I used Highland Heather ink and cut it out with a die from the Ornate Borders Dies. I cut the border die out of Purple Posy Card Stock and adhered it to the back of the sentiment. I stamped the daisy from the Ornate Style Stamp Set on a scrap of Whisper White with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored it with my Blends and fussy cut it. I adhered it to the frame with liquid glue. I adhered the sentiment and border to the frame with liquid glue. Then I adhered my frame to the embossed panel with Dimensionals. The inside is simply a panel of Whisper White Card Stock stamped with a sentiment from the Ornate Thanks set, using Highland Heather Ink. I stamped the little flower from the Ornate Style set, colored it and fussy cut it, adhering it with a glue dot. I punched three corners with the Detailed Trio Punch and adhered the panel to the card base with liquid glue. I hope you enjoyed my card today and thank you for joining the hop. Good Monday Morning, peeps. Yesterday I mentioned I might have some M & M's for you today, and I do! Let me preface that with why. I'm playing Summer 2021 Stamping Bingo that my team mate Jaimie is doing. Today I'm covering the "try a new stamping technique" square. The technique I used is called Marker Marbling and I used my Stampin' Write Markers. I found the technique thru Splitcoaststampers and watched the video by Lindsay. Here's how my card turned out... The procedure is almost like the Faux Watercolor Technique but involves using acetate (window sheet) and markers, rather than a block and ink pads. For this card I used Flirty Flamingo, Magenta Madness and Blushing Bride markers. The stamps I used on the front are from Unity's "Include yourself in beauty" set. I stamped the flower with VersaMark ink and heat embossed it with Black Basic Embossing Powder. I fussy cut it and adhered it with Stampin' Dimensionals after I embossed the sentiment. I was introduced to this stamp set by Jeannie Thomas and I just love it. It's the first time I have used it so I'm entering my card at NBUS #28. I'm also playing at Crafting Happiness #104 - ATG. On the inside, I used the SU Lovely You Stamp Set for the "miles apart" sentiment and an image from the Winged Masterpiece Stamp of the Month by CTMH. I used Magenta Madness for my cardstock, ink and Stampin' Blends. I must admit I love this card and I hope the recipient will too, along with you, my viewers! Just for visiting today, I'm giving you free M & M's. I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our monthly Amy's Inkin' Krew Blog Hop. Have a blessed day! Good Saturday morning, peeps! Thursday our card group got together to celebrate two birthdays. We created a pull tab flip card fun fold using retired stamp sets. Sue M. provided the kit using instructions from Tami White. However, I had a problem with mine so when I got home, I watched Dawn Griffith make the card and finished it up. Here's how my card turned out... We used the Bring on the Cake and Big Day Stampin Up! Stamp Sets. Did someone mention "bring on the cake"? Okay, here it is. It was a cannoli cake that Sue got from Publix. Now that you have finished salivating, back to the card to see what happens when you pull the tab... and when you open the main part of the card... I'm entering my card at: Creative Creases #24 Anything with a Fun Fold Allsorts Week 660 For a Child and Seize the Birthday #230 Anything Goes with the optional topping of Embossing, which I did not do! Thank you for stopping by today and have a great rest of your weekend.
Good Sunday morning, my peeps! Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. However, if you are feeling a little bit down, I hope my card will help you give wings to your worries. We made this card in our Thursday card group and Sue L. provided the kit. The stamp was an unmarked stamp and she thought it was about 15 years old but didn't think it was SU. If anyone knows the name, would you please let me know in a comment. It's so pretty, especially in black and pink! The sentiment is from SU retired Well Scripted Stamp Set. You can use any sentiment and any punch you want since you probably can't get these any longer! The Old Olive branches are punched with the retired Bird Builder punch. I still have that punch and will never sell it! I think the pink is either Pretty in Pink or Pink Pirouette, both retired. The flowers are punched with the retired Blossom Punch. For the centers I used the current white Classic Matte Dots. I'm not sure what stamp we used for the spots but SU has a lot of retired ones! The ribbon was something from JoAnn's or Michael's. You should see Sue's craft room!!! Now, let's take a look at the inside, which I finished at home. The sentiment is from the Inspired Thoughts Stamp Set. I stamped the flowers from the retired Petite Petals Stamp Set in Pretty in Pink. The corners are punched with the retired Detailed Trio Punch. I'm entering my card at Lil Patch of Crafty Friends Challenge #185 - ATG and Allsorts Challenge #684 - All Sorts of Animals. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for my Monday Morning Makeover Madness card. "Look at the birds! They don’t worry about what to eat—they don’t need to sow or reap or store up food—for your heavenly Father feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than they are." Matthew 6:26 The Living Bible
Welcome to my fun fold Friday post. If you follow me and the Creative Creases Challenge, you will know I was Guest Designer for the Secret Stamper for the month of June and that Debbie was moving to Chicago. Well, I am sorry to say Debbie has not been able to unpack her craft room yet, but happy to say I am Guest Designer for Challenge #36! My fun fold today is a CASE of this one and, again, was one we made in our Thursday card group with a kit provided by Sue L. The only items available are the Gold Foil and Kokorosa Die Cut but it's all about those two things, really! The die is called the Foldable Wave Background Board and here are instructions in a video for creating it. The video is less than 2 minutes long and I know you are going to want this die!! You can use any patterned paper you have, any shapes, and any sentiments. Here is what we used: 1 3/4" retired SU Scallop Circle Punch 1 1/4" retired SU Circle Whale Punch Retired SU sentiment stamp Craft Consortium - Shell Rummel's Bloom Beautiful Patterned Paper (2015) It was inherited from Carole, one of our deceased members. Joann sells Craft Consortium online only. The card does require a homemade envelope. A SU Basic White cardstock panel is on the reverse side for writing a message. I'm entering my card in the Make the Cards Challenge #58 - Make a Fancy Fold Card. Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a great weekend. Oh, and I do hope you'll enter the Creative Creases Challenge #36!
Good Monday Morning, peeps! No Makeover Monday Madness today as I have an announcement to make...I am honored to be a Crazy Cousin this month at Double Trouble Paper Crafting! My followers know how crazy I am about Double Trouble! We have a great challenge for you, and it wasn't any trouble to create my card! Here's a sneak peak at what trouble I got into... Need more than the fine print? Here ya go... Thing 1: Trouble Maker says, "Use anything from your stash to create a scene. This scene can be anywhere around the world. Have fun, use your imagination, then see how creative you can be with paper, ink, stamps and/or techniques. And don't forget those scenery photos from a vacation or outing... it's okay to create scrapbook pages." You can stop here... OR, you can choose to use Twisted Sister's Optional Twist below. Thing 3: Twisted Sister says, "What? Trouble Maker is always claiming that I am the one who makes a scene. Now she is doing it! Okay, Trouble Maker, you can have your scene but my optional twist is that the scene includes a mode of transportation. It can be anything from roller skates to aircraft but it has to be included for an extra chance at our random draw." Thing 2: Double Dare says, "If you have created a scene and have met the requirement "Around the World" (family memories or travel)... then link your project HERE at The Paper Girls Challenge #207 and receive an additional chance at the Double Trouble Random Draw." What can be better than a scene by the lake? Hop into my rowboat and head on over to Double Trouble Challenge #66 for some fun. I'm providing the transportation for you...the oars are somewhere around here... My card is for my brother. I spent many summers and some winters visiting him at his home in the Finger Lakes (NYS) and he had an old boat similar to this and hills across the lake. It became too much for him to put the docks out and bring them in for the winter so he sold his home last month. I will miss it as much as he does. I die cut the dock, boat, grass and frog using the Dockside Dies. I colored them with my Stampin' Blends. I sponged the water and stamped some darker pools and the hills in the distance. For those, I used stamps from the Waterfront set. The ripples are from By the Dock, as is the sentiment. I stamped that in Early Espresso on Whisper White and adhered it to a Chocolate Chip (retired) mat. Those are cut with the Ornate Frames Dies. Oh, here are the oars...now row, row, row your boat..I love ear worms, too, and I'm sure I've gotten myself into trouble with that one! The sentiment is from Happiest of Birthdays. I hope you'll join our challenge! I'll be checking to see what you make! Oh, and would you like to see what September's Crazy Cousin looks like? Yeppers, c'est moi! Thank you, Suzanne...I love your design of me! I'd like to enter my card in these challenges: Artsystamper Digitals #23 ATG Crafting Happiness Challenge #65 Pammie's Inky Pinkies #2036 Stamping Sensations - September Challenge Theme The Great Outdoors Thank you for stopping by today. Yeppers, it's Fun Fold Friday again! I made this card at our Thursday card group and Deb C. provided the paper/kit. We used the Nature's Prints Bundle. If you don't have it, you NEED it! All the paper is from Deb's scrapbooking days with Close to My Heart. The "flowers" are stamped in Night of Navy using the Nature's Prints Stamp Set and cut out with the Natural Prints Dies. The other floral pieces use the same die set. We heat embossed the pale yellow cardstock with another stamp from Nature's Prints. The inside sentiment and flower are stamped in Night of Navy ink. We punched out a Night of Navy circle on which the florals are adhered....some with liquid glue, some with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added three Pearl Basic Jewels for embellishments and tied the ribbon around the card to keep it closed. I'm entering my card in these challenges: Cardz 4 Galz Challenge #180 - Use 3 of Anything Craft Rocket Challenge #95 - Flowers Krafty Chicks #626 - All Occasions I'm not sure if this fold has a name but I rather like it and will be making another one for sure! Although this DSP is from a Christmas stack, I don't think it counts toward Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas challenge. BUT, it does qualify for her patterned paper challenge CHNPP - March 2017. By now you know I need more DSP, and her prize is unknown at the moment. Thanks for looking.
It's Wacky Wednesday because I made kits for our Thursday card group. What's wacky about that you ask? Well, I gave them all the same materials but there was no card as a sample and basically no instructions except to say "it's a mystery card. Just put it together however you want and don't look at what anyone else is doing!" I had done mystery cards with them a long time ago but I gave them measurements for whatever type of cardstock and DSP they wanted to use and they picked their own colors and I gave them step-by-step instructions on what to do next with what they brought. Want to see all our cards? I'll show them to you in a minute. Let me tell you what was in the kit....a piece of cardstock for the base, a panel and strip of retired Daffodil Afternoon Designer Series Paper along with two triangles cut with the retired Stitched Triangles Dies, Pale Papaya ribbon, scraps of Very Vanilla and a whole doily. The only stamp sets available were the Alphabest Stamp Set and the Go To Greetings Stamp Set plus the Best Label Punch. Okay, now I'll show you my card, Barb's, Deb's and Sue M.'s in that order. Are they not cool or what? The gals did a wonderful job of creating AND we all had fun! Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you'll be back tomorrow for our Happy Inkin' Thursday Blog Hop.
TGIF! Nothing more needs to be said, right? Well, yes, I need to tell you about my Friday card! My card base is Thick Very Vanilla with a layer of Gold Foil. We made this awhile back at our card group. Sue L. had already prepared the die cut panel for us and for the life of me, I can't remember the name of the die. I know I have it somewhere too. Can anyone help me out? I could call Sue but I love to have you leave comments! Update: I found the die...it's the Detailed Floral Thinlit that was bundled with Floral Phrases. I also found a similar card through Google so it looks like it was inspired by Shawn Perez. The sentiment is from the retired Well Scripted Stamp Set. I stamped it with Versa Mark Ink and heat embossed it with gold emboss powder. I cut it out with a die from the Ornate Frames set. The inside sentiment is from the Lovely You Stamp Set and I stamped it with Color Box Gold Ink. I used the Scalloped Contours Dies to cut out the gold frame. I'm playing at the Alphabet Challenge "G is for Green or Gold" and Seize the Birthday #218 - Framed Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you have a lovely weekend. "The same everlasting Father who cares for you today will take care of you tomorrow, and every day. Either He will shield you from suffering, or He will give you unfailing strength to bear it." Saint Francis de Sales
Yeppers, it's another Makeover Monday card. This is a makeover of my card on Saturday. Today's card has slightly different measurements from the one on Saturday. Most of these measurements came from Linda Bauwin. I used the same DSP as on Saturday, just different patterns. I had no idea how much I would like this paper! I used the Timeless Tulips Stamp Set for the sentiment and that is the only sentiment for this card. I'll be writing a note on one of the undecorated inside folds. I stamped it in Mint Macaron and punched it out with the Everyday Label Punch. I used the Tasteful Textures Stamp Set to stamp my flower on Whisper White Card Stock in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored it with my retired Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Up! Blends because my Magenta Madness Blends won't arrive until tomorrow. Then I fussy cut it. So, with all the stamping out of the way, I embossed my panel of Magenta Madness (4" x 5 1/4") with the new Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder. Now we can get on to the guts of the card! 1. Cut a piece of Whisper White 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", which serves as the base. Adhere your embossed panel to it with strong adhesive. I used Tear & Tape. 2. Cut a piece of Whisper White 4 1/4" x 9". Score at 1", 2", 4", 6" and make your accordion fold. 3. Cut pieces of DSP 1/2" x 4" (first fold), 1 1/2" x 4" (second fold) and 2 3/4" x 4" for the back flat panel. Have this panel match the paper on the first fold (or not!). I used Flowers for Every Season 6" x 6" pack. Adhere these pieces to the accordion with liquid glue. 4. Adhere the accordion to the card base with Tear & Tape. Your card is done except for the belly band. Cut a Magenta Madness belly band strip 1 1/2" x 9 1/2". Wrap around card with the ends meeting in front and adhere them together. Make sure it's not too tight, not too loose! Just like on Saturday!! Adhere the sentiment to the belly band with liquid glue and the flower with Dimensionals. Here's what the inside looks like when the belly band is removed. The spot where I've written my personal note is behind the second fold. I'm playing for the second time at Cardz 4 Galz: Challenge #123 More than One Score (Fold) and for the second time at Just Us Girls Challenge #540: Frame It. Because I have all the needed colors, I'm also entering my card at Global Design Project: #245. Now, I have to ask...which frame do you like better...the Just Jade from Saturday or the Magenta Madness from today? I'd be so happy to have you leave your answer in a comment and thank you for stopping by today.
Welcome to our monthly SU Demos Fun Fold Blog Hop. If you love fun folds, you have come to the right place! The list of hoppers is at the end of my post and I do hope you'll hop along. I'm sure you'll be in for a real treat. Here's what I created... Let's take a closer and larger look at my card, shall we? and for the inside... My inspiration came from Mandy's Papercraft Creations. She has basic instructions and measurements in metric. Unfortunately, I tossed my measurements awhile back when I made it. However, I did follow her video here. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll participate in the hop. Here's the list of hoppers! Karen Finkle - this is me! Rae Burnet Mary Deatherage Lisa Ann Bernard Debbie Mageed Sue Jackson
