This week I'm using the gorgeous Flowing Flowers Stamp Set for my cards. It has beautiful floral images, as well as really sweet sentiments! I thought it fits well with this week's Happy
Thank you for joining me live yesterday to see how to add ink direct to your rubber stamps with Blending Brushes! I used the Flowing Flowers stamp set (one of my favorites from Stampin' UP!) to create this colorful and simple handmade birthday card! After stamping onto the Scalloped Contours die cut, I layered it on top of a Pale Papaya embossed piece of cardstock. My favorite is the Pretty Flowers embossing folder, but any of the embossing folders we played with on the video would work... gosh, nearly ANY embossing folder would be great!
Welcome everyone, I often have bits & pieces left after making a card as I have stamped or cut too many images or it just wasn’t right for that particular project. I actually have a box of these leftovers but I find when I need a card in a hurry, these certainly come in very handy. The flower and leaves on this card are from that box of goodies. The flower from the Flowing Flowers stamp set (#157880) was stamped with Poppy Parade ink (#147050), then fussy cut. The leaves were cut with a die from the Forever Flourishing dies (#152714) and I used Pear Pizzaz card (#131290). I stamped the splotches from the Quiet Meadow stamp set (#155082) with Crumb Cake ink (#147116) onto the Basic White card front (#159228). The strip of Pattern Party 12”x12” Designer Series Paper (#155426) was attached to the card front, then I daubered around the card with Poppy parade ink. The flower was attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) and the leaves with Mini Glue Dots (#103683). “Happy Birthday” is also from the Flowing Flowers stamp set and I used Poppy Parade ink. The die to cut this is from the Potted Succulents dies (#154330). Stampin’ Dimensionals were used to attach the sentiment. The embellishments are the Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels (#146924). TIP: Many of the die sets have label dies which are suitable for a great range of sentiments, so it’s worthwhile checking your dies to see what one suits your particular sentiment. It could be in an unexpected set and it’s easy to forget what is available. I am currently cutting out all my label dies, and labelling what die set they belong to and placing them in a folder so it it easy to find the die I want. “Love what you do and share what you love.” lesleyjendra.stampinup.net [email protected]

I'm loving the new Flowing Flowers stamp set. The bright Spring colours along with the emphasis on a clean and simple styling at CAS Colours and Sketches gave me a chance to try it out in a different way. I made more of a feature of the Granny Apple Green card base by using it to create a wider frame around two sides of the panel rather than the more usual centred with a narrow border. Stamped directly on the Basic White panel is a large flower in Daffodil Delight. The Mango Melody flower and leaves are fussy cut. I've stamped a second set of leaves and fussy cut them to build up the cluster. The sentiment is die cut using Tailor Made Tags. I've added in some more flowers in Daffodil Delight on the tag and added a second tag in Daffodil Delight peeking out behind. Although the gems are technically Pale Papaya, when used against Mango Melody they take on that colour. Or at least, so I think. 😀 At first, I wasn't so fussed about this sentiment but as I've used the set, it's really grown on me. I think it would work for a birthday, as well as any situation requiring congratulations. I really like the mix of fonts used here too. Hi Everyone, Today I am taking part in a Creative Colour Challenge on my friends Victoria's Blog and have made a pretty card using the Flowing Flowers stamp set and the butterfly dies from the Daffodil die set. I do hope that you like my card, let me show you how I made it. Materials 1 piece of pacific point card stock 5 7/8" x 8 1/4" 1 piece of gold foil 3 7/8" x 5 5/8" 1 piece of basic white 3 7/8" x 5 5/8", 1 piece 3 3/4" x 5 1/2" Scraps of coastal cabana and daffodil delight card for the butterflies Flowing Flowers stamp set Pacific point ink Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine Daffodil dies Basic Rhinestones Multipurpose adhesive Mini dimensionals Trimmer Bone Folder Instructions On the long side score the pacific point at 4 1/8" and fold and burnish to make the card base. Adhere the gold foil mat layer. On the smaller of the basic white layers, stamp the large flower in the bottom left corner and then the small group of flowers off the edges all around the rest of the piece of card in pacific point ink. Stamp the sentiment in the lower right corner in pacific point and adhere to the card front leaving a tiny gold border all around the edge. Then stamp another sentiment on the remaining piece of basic white and adhere to the inside of the card. Die cut 6 of the larger butterflies and 6 of the smaller ones in coastal cabana and daffodil delight. Layer up 4 in sets of two as in the picture and add to the card front. Then add two small ones in amongst the flowers and adhere the remaining two larger ones on the inside of the card. Add rhinestones in the centre of the butterflies on the card front. I hope you like my card. Why don't you pop over to Victoria's page and join in too, there is a different challenge every week. Hello and welcome, It's the latest Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI118 and this photo was chosen by Bronwyn Eastley. I love succulents and the range of greens in this photo I just knew which stamp set I wanted to use. The colour combination for #CI118 is Very Vanilla, Soft Succulent, Garden Green and Basic Gray. As well as the chosen colours you may also add Basic White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake and metallics to your project. We also allow 'Ivory' and 'Bronze' in the Stampin' Blends. If you don't have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Mint Macaron instead of Soft Succulent .... you get the drift). The challenge will run for almost 3 weeks until 7pm (AEST) on Monday 11th April 2022 details to follow at the end of my blog. Today's card is a vintage slimline card using a number of different stamp sets but mainly focusing on Flowing Flowers stamp set which is in the Stampin' Up! Jan to June 2022 Mini Catalogue. I've used all three flower images and stamped them on a 8.5cm x 21cm Shimmery White Cardstock. I didn't do any water colouring on the panel I just like the colour of the paper and how it blends in nicely with the Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock for the card base. I've stamped the images in full strength ink and also stamping off the images for a subtle look. I added flicks of ink from the Stampin' Markers using the brush tip and I flicked ink from the lid onto the panel. The other two stamp sets are Artfully Layered and Eden's Garden stamping images in Basic Gray. I really like the fine script stamp from the Artfully Layered Stamp Set and it's perfect for a vintage style card. Adding to the card is two of the flowers from Flowing Flowers Stamp Set, I've used the emboss resist technique by stamping the images in Versamark Ink onto Shimmery White Cardstock, add Stampin' White Emboss Powder and heat set with the Heat Tool. Then I used the Water Painter with Soft Succulent and Garden Green Ink for a water colour wash. Once dried I then fussy cut out the images. I added a couple of the stamped leaves in Garden Green and Soft Succulent Ink and fussy cut them out. To finish off the card I added the sentiment by stamping it in Basic Gray Ink onto Very Vanilla Cardstock and fussy cut out. The bow which is a #Tammybow I've used Soft Succulent Weave Ribbon and Silver Simply Elegant Trim. Place the bow to the card with a couple of Glue Dots. I hope I've inspired you with the latest challenge and I do hope you'll join in. We so look forward to seeing a variety of projects using the challenge colours. Please ensure that your project is new and made specifically for this challenge. Use all of the challenge colours (or close substitutions) unless stated. Upload only one picture per entry straight to the discussion wall and not in an album Colour INKspiration Challenge #CI118 will run until 7pm (ADET) on Monday 11th April 2022.
