What lens do you look through? When we stay stuck looking only through our lens, we become part of the problem. When we refuse or exclude ourselves from seeing through someone else's lens we shift from grace to condemnation. We lose the ability to love well when we only see through our own lens.

Art can give us a better understanding of our emotions and the world we live in. Even though some art pieces can be difficult to comprehend, they might provoke one to think and find his or her own meaning. Art is often connected to human emotions. In the process of creating art, artists express what they are concerned or curious about. In this way, they explore their own thoughts and feelings and at the same time encourage the public to engage in the journey of meaning-making.

Earlier this month, Twitter co-founder Biz Stone unveiled his mysterious startup Jelly. The question-and-answer app was met with a mix of criticism and head scratching. Tech-watchers asked if the world really needed another Q&A service. Skeptics questioned how it would compete with existing solutions and pointed to the rocky history of previous products like Mahalo Answers, Formspring, and Aardvark.

For instance, wide angle lenses tend to […]
Even the most expensive lenses out there can potentially fall prey to a problem that has plagued optics since the creation of the field and that is distortion and loss of fidelity because of a lens. Marek from Pexels. An age old phenomenon known as spherical aberration, or the distortion of an image’s details around the periphery of the lens used to capture it, could be a thing of the past if a Mexican doctoral student’s equation is used for manufacturing optical equipment in the future. To give you some idea of just how old this problem is, PetaPixel reports

Photographer gift film student vintage photography cameraman lens eye weird strange print wall decor movie poster This is a movie still from the 1929 film, "A Man With a Movie Camera" shot by Dziga Vertov. Of all the cinematic trailblazers to emerge during the early years of the Soviet Union, Vertov was the most radical. He dispensed with story altogether. He loathed fiction films. “The film drama is the Opium of the people,” he wrote. “Down with Bourgeois fairy-tale scenarios…long live life as it is!” He called for the creation of a new kind of cinema free of the counter-revolutionary baggage of Western movies. A cinema that captured real life. Hence, this film is often called "the first documentary." Yet Vertov’s stroke of genius was to expose the entire artifice of filmmaking within the movie itself. In A Man with a Movie Camera, Vertov shoots footage of his cameramen shooting footage. THERE'S A RE-OCCURING SHOT OF AN EYE STARING THROUGH THE LENS. We see images from earlier in the movie getting edited into the film. This sort of cinematic self-reflection was decades ahead of its time. Created, printed and shipped directly by us in the USA, all prints arrive ready to frame. Each image we sell is the product of numerous hours polishing the original and is not simply pulled off the internet. We print in high resolution from high res scans or actual photographs we have collected. We use a state of the art commercial Canon Wide Format gicleé printer, not a home laser jet printer; this is how we can offer and directly ship large sizes. We print on the highest quality photographic paper available-Epson 260 gsm-using 12-color archival inks that are fade resistant for 100+ years. Our Epson Professional Premium semi-matte photo paper has a satin lustre-not too matte, not too glossy, just right. We include a 1/10 inch white border to prevent the lip of the frame from covering part of the image. We can omit or expand border by request. Watermark will not be on the print you receive. Custom sizing or other image requests welcome. ORDER READY TIME & SHIPPING All orders are printed to order and ship within 2-5 Business days via USPS ground advantage (fka first class) mail. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED We produce the highest quality professional photography print reproductions available on the market and pride ourselves on 5 star product and customer service. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, just reach out on Etsy message so we can make it right! PRO TIP In printing, like so many other services, a lot of factors determine the quality of the reproduction. How thick (or flimsy) the paper is, the resolution of the original photograph, the expertise of the individual processor/printer and the time spent polishing the image to perfection prior to printing. Before you purchase a print from just any vendor, look to see if they use a third party printing service/drop shipper, or do they control the entire process by producing and shipping the print themselves? Do they use a commercial printer, or do they simply print on a commonplace laser printer like you would find at Office Max or in a home? What paper do they use? Note: Digital downloads are typically just pulled from the internet with no work done to improve their appearance.
