Good morning and a happy Halloween. I have my last Halloween project for this season to share today and it happens to be another card. This one was for my niece so went for a cutesy design for her, nothing too dark and spooky. For this card I have used: The witch and kitty are from the 'Witch way is the Candy' stamp set, the cauldron is from the Trick or Treat' stamp set and the sentiment is from the 'Frightfully Sweet' stamp set all from MFT stamps. The DP is from my stash And a little bit of stencilling behind the witch and some bubbles from the cauldron Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog, I'll see you soon. #staysafe
Hello! Another Halloween card, I love this theme so much! Today I used stamps and dies from My Favorite Things ('Witch way is the can...
Hello crafty friends! Today is a fun day over at MFT. Today is the beginning of the monthly card kit countdown BUT....along with this months card kit, there is a new surprise release of the set called Witch Way is the Candy! Just in time for halloween! I did more coloring with new set than I ever have in the history of my card making! I had to mix a little of my CAS, white space love, with a lot of Copic colored images and this is what I came up with.... I stamped all the images out and started coloring and blending. I had so much fun with this set. I am pretty proud of that cute little witch and her hat shadow. This is big time shading done for my amateur copic skills. Those pumpkins are so easy to color up and that cat? So cute! I really wanted these images to stand out, so I left the background white. I added in the moon and the clouds and filled in some space with the perfect sentiment. The design team will be showcasing this new set along with an AMAZING new kit for August, so head on over to the MFT blog to see a list of places to visit. So glad you stopped in today! I will be back tomorrow with more. Have a great day!
Welcome to day 2 of the MFT Card Kit countdown which also doubles as a surprise countdown for the 'Witch Way to the Candy' re-release! I have another card using the images that I colored up. I used the witch, pumpkins, cat, clouds and moon on yesterdays card, so I decided that bat would looks so cute on a CAS card... I stamped the bat in white ink all over a light gray card stock. Then I stamped a sentiment on a stitched banner die and added the bat to the banner. I tucked in a little black glitter card stock below the banner and then attached the whole thing to the top of the card front. There is lots more to see from the rest of the Design Team. Head on over to the MFT Blog for a list of links to visit. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by. I hope you're having a great day. Today I wanted to share a card that uses one of the smaller stamps in the set. I've been challenging myself to step away from that big main awesome stamp that is always there and use the smaller "scene builder" stamps as my focus. Today, I chose the bat from MFT's "Witch Way is the Candy?". This is an older set, that due to popular demand was brought back this year! I got mine when it originally came out, so I don't have all the new sentiments and greetings that were included in the new release; "witch" kind of makes me sad, because MFT has some amazing sayings that can fit in almost any card for any occasion. To begin, I trimmed a piece of 110lb Copic-friendly cardstock down to 5 1/2" x 3 3/4" and stamped the Bat from MFT's "Witch Way is the Candy?" stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, masking to allow overlap and coloured them with Copic markers. I then stamped the greeting from the same set with Memento ink as well. I used the Spectrum Noir Clear Overlay glitter pen to make all the bats shine and used Glossy Accents by Ranger on their eyes. I then sent the panel aside to dry completely. On the right side of my standard A2 sized card base, I used the stripe border stamp and the MISTI to create a fun border. This could also be done with a spooky fun washi tape. Once the top panel was dry, I popped it up on some foam tape and adhered it to the left side of my card base. I hope you like today's card and are inspired to create something of your own. If you haven't already, please follow me on the right side bar or over on Facebook, so you don't miss out on any future posts. Drop me a line in the comments section below and let me know what you think. This card is for: CAS on Friday Challenge CAS(E) this Sketch! Challenge #243

Hello The time is finally here to shop the latest card kit from MFT…you will love it… I have one last card today sharing the Witch Way is the Candy stamp and die set, that I know you will be happy to
Helloooooo there! How are you? How is your weekend going so far? Mine has been pretty busy and fun actually! I cannot believe it's almost five o'clock Sunday night and another weekend is almost over. Dang. How does time go so fast? And I have to go make dinner after this. Anyhooo... Yesterday among other errands I picked out new eyeglasses. That is so hard, isn't it? Such a big decision. I had about 20 pairs all laid out in front of me...and finally myself, hubs and the sweet lady at the optician's chose these frames. They look like lace!...
Thank you for joining me as we count down to the next MFT release. We are just five days away from the big day! All the new Stamps, Die-namics, and Stencils will be available on Tuesday, August 12th at 10:00pm EST. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the new items being revealed today. Don't forget to leave a comment on the MFT Blog Countdown posts, YOU could win one of the seven $75.00 gift vouchers. I have two Halloween cards to share with you tonight. The first one features the new Birdie Brown Which Way Is the Candy? stamp set and Die-namics. How adorable is that witch? I stamped the witch on a piece of X-press It card stock and I coloured her with Copics. The spooky tree and fence are from the new Spooky Scene Die-namics. I die-cut the tree in Chocolate Brown card stock and the I stamped it with the Wood Plank Background stamp. On the inside of the card, I added a few stars and a fun sentiment from the Witch Way Is the Candy? stamp set. My second card features the new Centerpieces Spooky Window Die-namics, the Cheesecloth Background, and the Spooky Sentiments. I inked up a brayer with Nightshift Blue and Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink. I used the brayer on a piece of Translucent Vellum. The vellum wasn't quite dark enough, so I did the same thing on a piece of white card stock and I placed the vellum over the card stock. I added a little bit of shimmer and shine to the spider's web and the spider. The background was stamped with the Cheesecloth Background stamp and Sweet Tooth ink. I kept the inside of the card fairly simple. A sentiment from the Spooky Sentiments stamp set and a tiny spider, and lots of white space for writing a fun message. Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you enjoyed my "spooky" cards. Be sure to check out the MFT Blog to see all the goodies the Design Team has created to share with you. I have another Halloween card today. I used the My Favorite Things stamp set called "Witch Way is the Candy" to do up this super cute little witch and black cat. My Favorite Things -- Witch Way is the Candy I colored the witch and the cat with my Copics and used some more of the Doodlebug Ghouls and Goodies paper for the layers. I made this card for the current colour challenge of the MFT, Color Challenge 104. I stamped the image on X-Press blending paper with Chocolate Brown Hybrid ink. I used masking sheet to create the scene. I coloured the images with Copic Sketch markers and Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils. The text was stamped with Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black ink. With my card, I would like to join the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Halloween/Spooky
Hello Friends, hope you had a great weekend. I am sharing a card today using MFT re-released Witch Way is the Candy. I received this cutie in the mail the other day and had to color her up and create a card. I am gearing up for halloween and this cute stamp set was perfect. I stamped the images out on copic x-press it blend cardstock and cut them out using the coordinating dies. I created the background using distress ink and added copic opaque white splatter to give the background some added dimension. I used MFT rectangle scalloped frames to cut out a frame to create the shaker. I added various sequins from pretty pink posh and cartwright sequins to the shaker. I added the shaker portion to the card front. I used the boo sentiment from make it crafty to add to the card as well. To add additional dimension to the bat, I added some googley eyes from pretty pink posh which I love. Copic colors used: Skin: E13, 11, 00, 000 Hair: E59, 37, 33, 31 Hat, Cape, Boots, Bat: N9, 7, 5, 3 Dress: YR27, 68, 15 Broom: E59, 37, 33 I love this stamp set and so glad MFT decided to re-release this cutie. Well that's all I have for you today, hoping you have a great Monday. Happy Crafting!
mHi everyone! Happy Tuesday! It’s time for the MFT Design Team Creative Challenge! This month, it’s all about my most favorite holiday…Halloween! I have three projects to share with you today! For my first project, I created a little treat box! I’ve used the Witch’s Cauldron Die-namics along with the Paper Bag Treat Box Die-namics! I thought the cauldron would make a fun little favor! I cut two cauldrons from Black Licorice Card Stock, and for the bubbles, I used Orange Fizz Card Stock and Lemon Drop Card Stock. I cut a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using the Fishtail Flags Layers STAX Die-namics and then cut out “Boo” from Sour Apple Card Stock using the Little Lowercase Letters Die-namics, and the “!” using the Little Numbers Die-namics. I added shimmer to the bubbles and the “Boo!” using a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker. I attached an Orange Fizz Button tied with Hemp Cord. Using the Paper Bag Treat Box Die-namics, I cut two panels of Black Licorice Card Stock. Before assembling the treat box, I trimmed it down so that it would only be two inches tall, the perfect fit for inside my cauldron. I attached the two cauldron panels and added some candy! A sweet, but spooky, little treat! For my next project, I pulled out a mason jar from my stash and filled it up with candy corn (yum!). I created a sweet little tag by cutting a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using the Layered Treat Tag Die-namics, and then stamped the stamp from Trick or Sweet using Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink. I added a bat cut from Black Licorice Card Stock using the Spooky Scene Die-namics. I cut a panel of Smooth White Card Stock using the Circle STAX 2 Die-namics, and stamped a plaid design using the Plaid Background Builder and Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink, Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink and Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. Using Circle STAX 2 Die-namics again, I cut a panel of Black Licorice Felt and added it under the cap. I LOVE the sweet little scallops that are created when the lid is screwed on. I finished it off by wrapping Hemp Cord around the lid. Of course, while I was making Halloween treats, I HAD to make a card too! I’ve used the darling BB Witch Way Is The Candy…I just LOVE her! The layout is the current SCS Sketch Challenge, SC507. I started by cutting out a panel of X-Press It Blending Card using the Witch Way Is The Candy Die-namics. I stamped the sweet image from BB Witch Way Is The Candy using Black Licorice Hybrid Ink and colored her with Copic Markers. I popped her up with Jody Boosters onto a panel of Kraft Card Stock cut with the Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics that I stamped with Trick or Sweet using Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink. I sponged the edges with Sweet Tooth Pigment Ink as well. The main Orange Fizz Card Stock panel was cut with Blueprints 1 Die-namics and then I added a mat of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 2 Die-namics. The Orange Fizz Card Stock panel was embossed with the Polka Dots Cover Up Die-namics and Embossing Pad Duo. I sponged the edges with Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink. I added a vertical panel of Grape Jelly Card Stock sponged with Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink. I then cut another panel of Smooth White Card Stock using Rectangle STAX 2 Die-namics and stamped it with the Plaid Background Builder set using Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink, Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink and Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink. I sponged the edges using Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink. I finished off the front with a Sweet Tooth Button and a bow of Hemp Cord. On the inside, I cut two panels of Smooth White Card Stock using Blueprints 1 Die-namics and Blueprints 2 Die-namics. I added a panel of Smooth White Card Stock stamped with the Plaid Background Builder set using Grape Jelly Premium Dye Ink, Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink and Lemon Drop Premium Dye Ink. I sponged the edges with Orange Fizz Premium Dye Ink. I then stamped the sentiment, “Witch Way Is The Candy”, from BB Witch Way Is The Candy, using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. Hello again my friends, I'm so happy that I had a chance to make another card using the Leafy Tree Backdrop die. This die is of course perfect for fall cards, which I defiantly want to make very soon. Again I inked up some white card stock with distress ink, sprayed it with water and blotted it with a paper towel. I then splattered the background with Marshmallow Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels, which in real life adds a bit of glitter in the sky. The cute witch is from the Witch Way Is The Candy stamp set and the tombstones are from Grave Situation which are both from MFT Stamps. The spider hanging from the tree is form Lawn Fawn's Booyah stamp set. Below is a list of the supplies I used. Yesterday my family left the house at 8am to head to Anchorage to attend Arctic Thunder, the air show put on by the local military base. We didn't get home until 10pm so today we scrapped all our plans and decided to just veg out at home. This meant I headed into my craft room and sat down to get creative! There is still a little bit of time left on the current Freshly Made Sketches challenge so I decided to play along. I don't usually make a lot of Halloween cards but I recently got this set from MFT and I think there will be more Halloween cards in my future this year. This set is too cute and I just love the little witch! I colored her in with copics used my Scan N Cut to cut her out. The circle is a MFT die, as is the banner that the sentiment is stamped on. I adhered it all to black cardstock and then used a stamp from SU to make the background look like a night sky. Thanks for stopping by! Being a Navy family we love the Blue Angels, and I can't even begin to count how many times I've seen them in my life. They never cease to amaze me though, and especially after the recent tragedy where they lost Capt. Kuss, it was good to see them flying across the sky. It was definitely the highlight of my summer! Stamps: Witch Way Candy (MFT), Gorgeous Grunge (SU) Paper: Basic Black (SU), Crushed Curry (SU), X-Press It Paper Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Cucumber Crush (SU retired), Crushed Curry, White Craft Ink (SU) Copics: V15, V17 G07, YG09 YR20, YR21, YR24, E33 E13, E15, E17 N2, N4, N7 E09 Y35 E00, E21 Accessories: Cuttlebug, Blueprints Die-Namics 23, Die-Namics Zig Zag Stitched Circles
Thanks to a superbloggy friend, I was able to finally get my paws on this stamp set. I missed it before it was retired, so when it made a comeback I had to have it this time. I took the main panel and created the sky and ground with Copic Markers and my Copic Airbrush! LOVE LOVE LOVE how it came out! I added rhinestones throughout the sky for some sparkle! I cut a fence using the Spooky Scene Die-namics from Steel Grey Card Stock and added it to the main panel before adding the stamped elements. On the inside, I added two more panels of Smooth White Card Stock cut with Blueprints 1 Die-namics and Blueprints 2 Die-namics. I added the cute little frog, cut from X-Press It Blending Card usng Witch Way Is The Candy Die-namics and stamped with Black Licorice Hybrid Ink using BB Witch Way Is The Candy. I colored him with Copic Markers and then popped him up with Jody Boosters. I stamped a sentiment from BB Witch Way Is The Candy using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. BB Witch Way Is the Candy? Vor ein paar Wochen hat der Held eine Karte geordert - Geburtstag mit Halloween-Feel. Auf den letzten Drücker ist sie fertig geworden! :D
Birdie Brown brings back a Halloween favorite--Witch Way is the Candy? The images have been tweaked and the set has brand new sentiments in Birdie Brown's trademark font. I missed getting this set before it was retired, so I'm happy to see a revival-- just in time for Halloween! Today I'm sharing two cards with this set. The little witch was stamped and colored with Copics, then cut with the matching Die-namics. White dots were added to her dress with a Gelly Roll pen. Smaller images in the set were stamped with Grout Gray ink on a white card base. I adhered the sentiment strip and the witch was popped up over it with dimensional adhesive. Glittery gold enamel dots finished off the card. My second card uses the smaller images in the set. The three images were stamped and colored with Copic markers, then cut with the matching Die-namics. A top folding, Smooth White card base was covered with patterned paper and set aside. The Stitched Peek-a-Boo Windows and Edge were cut from white card stock and the inside portion of the windows were ink distressed. All pieces were adhered to the card and the critters were popped up inside each window. The card was finished off with the white embossed sentiment and a few sequins. Both the X's and O's Card Kit and Witch Way is the Candy? will go on sale tomorrow, August 22nd at 9PM EST in the MFT Store!
Hello everyone Are you enjoying your day! So as you may be aware if you have seen yesterday’s posting from MFT, it is time for another Card Kit release and so the team are sharing projects to get you
Hi everyone! :) I hope you are having a fantastic week! For all my readers affected by Harvey and to those in the path of Irma, I want you all to know you are in my thoughts and my prayers and if there's anything you need or anything I can do from here, please don't hesitate to ask. I have a fun Halloween card and video to share with you all today. In this video, I share how I water colored this adorable witch image from My Favorite Things. Here's my video: (To watch on YouTube, click HERE) In this video, I share how I painted the adorable witch and I also share how I put the card together. To see how I created the exact watercolor background you see on the card, please watch this video here: (To view on YouTube, please click HERE) Here are some pictures of today's card: To create my card for today, I first created the background using the purple and gold paints from my Gansai Tambi watercolor paints. I then let the background dry and cut it out with a large stitched rectangle die from Lawn Fawn (it's the largest die in the Large Stitched Rectangle Die set that covers the entirety of an A4 sized card (4 1/4 by 5 1/2)). I used the Silver and Black watercolor paints from the same paint set to color the moon (which I cut out using a circle die I had in my stash). Next, I stamped the adorable images from the adorable Witch Way is the Candy Stamp set by MFT using my Hero Arts Black Dye Ink (which is my favorite for water coloring). I then painted the images with my Zig markers and a water brush. To color the witch, I used the following colors: Black (for hat and cloak), Dark Brown and Brown (for hair), Violet and Light Violet (for dress and boots), Brown and Light Brown (for top of broom), Dark Brown (for broom stick), Light Green and Orange (for shirt and stockings), Yellow, Light Violet, and Violet (for band around hat), and Flesh Color, Blush, and Almond Pink for her skin tones. For the pumpkins, I used orange and then Dark Brown for the stems. For the cat, I used Black, Light Violet and Violet for the bow tie, and Light Green for his eyes. Next, I cut the grass out of black cardstock using my Grassy Hillside Borders dies from Lawn Fawn. I adhered the grass to the bottom of the panel. I then used some white embossing powder to emboss the sentiment. Finally, I adhered all the images with foam tape onto the panel and then adhered the entire panel to the front of a white A2 notecard using foam tape. I added some Wink of Stella glitter pen to her dress and to the pumpkins and I also added some sequins (which I adhered using Ranger's Multi Media Matte glue). What do you think? Well, that's it from me today. I hope you enjoyed today's card. Have a wonderful day!!!
Hello everyone! Today starts a brand new Color Challenge from MFT Stamps! The color challenges are always fun because they really allow you the freedom to stretch your imagination and see what you can come up with with the color scheme presented. For my card today, I created a fun Halloween Card since I thought that the challenge colors went perfectly with such a theme. The colors in Challenge #104 are Steel Grey, Orange Zest, Wild Wisteria, and Lavender Fields. To start my card, I first created a subtle ink-blended background using both Wild Wisteria and Lavender Fields Premium Dye Ink with my Clarity Stencil Brushes. I added a few splashes of water and some opaque white paint splatters. I then stamped my sentiment at the bottom with Black Ink. For my images, I stamped them with Black Ink onto a sheet of Neenah Solar White 110 lb Card Stock, colored them with Copics and used then cut them out. I placed them with some 3D Foam Adhesive Squares onto my card background. I then layered this panel with a sheet of Steel Grey Card Stock and some pattered paper from the Petite Plaid Paper Pack. I challenge you to come play along with us! One winner will be chosen randomly to win a $50 MFT Gift Voucher!
