Hi friends! Popping in to share some cards I made with a product from the Simon Says Stamp Be Bold release. Simon Says Stamp kindly sent me the fun Groovy Blooms stencil set. Simon Says Stamp has recently added opportunity to purchase items in a bundle. There is the "want it all stamp and die" bundle, the "want it all extras" bundle and several others. Now, let's take a look at what I made. For the first card I used Altenew Fresh Inks in aqua shades to stencil the flowers. Fresh inks in shades of green were used for the leaves. For the final layer I used some Tonic Studio Nuvo paste in a bright sunny yellow. The Boho Celebrate die is from another release and was die cut from aqua cardstock and then layered on a white shadow layer. The sub-sentiment is from an older SSS stamp set. For the second card I used the third layer of the stencil to create an overall polka dot look. I used Spun Sugar and Bundled Sage distress oxide inks. The sentiment is another Simon Says Stamp word die Fancy Hello. I finished with some clear sequins. The last card was made using a strip that was left over from the first card. Didn't want it to go to waste so I made this fun Easter card that I will send to one of my great nieces or nephew. I used the bunny from the Simon Says Stamp Hello There Animals and stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it very simply with Copic markers in gray and aqua. I used a scalloped border die and cut some aqua cardstock to layer below the strip. I added the strip and then the little bow that I also colored with Copic markers. The sentiment is from the SSS Bunny Kisses stamp and die set. Adding this to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge of Easter/Spring. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hello there, apologies once again for my lack of blog posts lately. I had a procedure to try and help with my migraines and unfortunately (although as to be expected), it made them worse for some time. I am finally back in my craft room today and wanted to share a card that I made before the procedure using the latest Simon Says Stamp Be Bold release. They kindly sent me the Groovy Blooms Layering Stencils to play with and they are a lot of fun! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my card by taking a panel of white cardstock and placed it in the corner of the Altenew Stampwheel. I then placed the first Simon Says Stamp Groovy Blooms Layering Stencils on top. These stencils are really easy to line up and I think you can use them in any order. I then added ink blending on top using Ink Blending Brushes. For the flowers I used Concord & 9th Wildberry Ink, the flower centres use Concord & 9th Buttercup and Creamsicle Inks. For the leaves, I used Sprout & Parsley Inks. It was then cut into panel and adhered to a US A2 (4.25" x 5.5") sized white card base. I die cut the 'thanks' sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp CZ Design Basic Trip Dies three times from black cardstock. They were adhered one on top of another and then onto the card using Bearly Art Glue. I stamped a sentiment from the Simon Says Stamp Big Thanks Words Stamp Set onto black cardstock using Versamark Ink. I applied white embossing powder and heat set. It was cut into a strip and adhered to the card with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Hero Arts Sunset Enamel Dots. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when using these links. Please click on the logo below the product to shop at your favourite store. All products were personally purchased except those from Clearly Besotted, Hero Arts or those marked with an asterisk (*) which were kindly sent to me to use. You can read my full disclosure here. There are so many colour combinations that can be used with these stencils. I kept the flowers all the same colour, but they can be different colours, you would just have to do a bit of masking. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really appreciate it. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Hello! I've got one last set of cards to share this month using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - the other posts have been building my birthday card stash, but today I'm switching to Mother's Day cards. While this year will be a bittersweet Mother's Day - since my mom passed a couple weeks ago, and it will be my first one without her - I still have so many wonderful women in my life that have filled that roll in some way over the years as my mom's Parkinson's and the associated dementia slowly stole her away. So while there was a sadness while I finished these cards, there is also so much thankfulness for each and every woman in my life - and fellow mothers who understand just how wonderful and hard the role of being a mother is! For these cards I used the new Pretty Petals set, and since I used my MISTI to stamp them, I lined everything up and stamped in a few color combos. I figure once you've done the work, it only takes a few seconds more to stamp a few times and end up with even more cards. I love how fun it is to try different color combos! I then die cut them with the coordinating die, curled up the edges slightly, and adhered to a white cardbase with liquid glue, so there was a tiny bit of dimension, but not a ton of foam layers. I let the stems hang off the edges slightly, then trimmed the excess off. I stamped the sentiments, then popped those up with foam adhesive - had to have a tiny bit of dimension on there, right? I also rounded off one corner for interest, then finished off with a few fun ombre pearl embellishments from Honey Bee stamps - so cute, and they matched perfectly! Here are more photos of the finished cards: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

*This post contains affiliate links to Simon Says Stamp. Hi everyone! There's a new release from Simon Says Stamp available today called Be Bold. I have a several new products in this release: Tiled Art Nested Leaves Plate You Rock (which I designed to coordinate with Nested Leaves) Dreamy Leaves I'll be sharing some Dreamy Leaves cards with you tomorrow, but for today I'm showcasing some super simple cards created using the Wild & Free Flowers set. This is really gorgeous floral set that looks wonderful colored, but the amount of detail in the flowers really lends itself to a simple black and white pen drawing look. I've jazzed that up a bit using some very simple masked inking. I recently picked up some new inks in the Pawsitively Saturated Inks line, and thought I would take the opportunity to try out a couple new colors. For this first set of cards, I used Dew and the Printmaking Houses stencil. This stencil has two sides, one large rectangle opening, and one with nine smaller openings. I centered the large opening over my white panel and applied ink in an ombre effect, spreading ink inward from one of the corners. Once I was happy with the inking, I placed the panel in my stamping platform and stamped the floral image as well as the sentiment. For the card on the left, I simply stamped the flower over the entire panel. For the second card, I masked off the bottom and right side, before stamping, so that the image appears only in the inked area. I think both versions are equally effective, just depends on which you prefer. This second set of cards features the color Pansy and uses one of the masks from the Domed Arches and Masks set. Same technique here, but I changed up the orientation to be vertical. These cards came together so quickly. You can easily mass produce them. That's all for me today. I'll be back tomorrow participating in a blog hop, but for now, be sure to head over to Simon to check out the full release.

Hello! Stopping by to share my first cards using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - as usual, I have a set of cards to share! I paired up a new stencil set, with some new to me ink colors, and a recently released and new to me birthday sentiment stamp set! I used the new Retro Arcs stencil set for these cards - and used an assortment of a few new ink colors I recently picked up. For each of the color combos, I used the lightest, then the darkest shades. I ink blended to keep it as soft in the center as possible, and a bit deeper around the edges. I added sentiments with the Birthday Basics stamp and die set that was part of the previous SSS release - I make a ton of birthday cards, so I knew I had to have it! I used the coordinating dies to pop the main sentiments up on foam, and stamped the secondary sentiment directly on the cardbase. Finished off with a few iridescent clear drops for some sparkle! Here are more photos of this card: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.
