Ready to have some fun in the kitchen? Our friend and brand ambassador Bridget Edwards from Bake at 350 shows just how easy these Halloween Splatter Paint Cookies are to decorate. You won’t believe how fun it is to flick icing around the kitchen! While these cookies can really be made for any occasion, they’re especially appropriate at Halloween – when it’s ok to go a little wild. Here's what you'll need: [brand:name] Classic Sugar Cookies, baked into squares or circles [brand:name] Royal Icing, doubled Gel paste food coloring: white, orange, black, purple, and neon green Piping bag Decorating tip, #2 Squeeze bottle Food-only paint brushes Divide the royal icing into 5 bowls. Tint white, orange, black, purple, and green. Cover, pressing plastic wrap onto the icing to prevent crusting. Spoon some of the white icing into a piping bag fitted with a #2 tip. Any base color will work here. Black would be a nice contrast for the splatter colors, but if you choose a black icing base, be prepared for temporarily stained teeth! Very spooky! Outline the cookies. Thin the remaining white icing with water, stirring in a bit at a time. Add water until a ribbon of icing dropped back onto itself disappears in a count of “one-thousand-one, one-thousand-two, one-thousand-three.” If the icing gets too thin, stir in more sifted Imperial Sugar Confectioners Powdered Sugar. Cover with a damp dish towel and let rest for a few minutes. Stir gently and transfer to a squeeze bottle or another piping bag. Flood, or fill in, the outline. Use a toothpick to guide to edges and pop any large air bubbles. Let the icing dry for several hours, up to overnight. The rest of the icing can be stored, covered with plastic wrap, in the refrigerator. Thin the remaining icing with water, making it thinner than the flood icing for the base. The icing should fall off of the paintbrush easily and have the consistency of syrup. Use the flicking technique on the cookies, rotating the cookie sheet every so often to mix up the direction. Flick one color at a time, then go back over and cookies that might need a boost of one color or another. Let the icing dry completely. This will take a few hours and can be helped along by drying with an oscillating fan. Package for giving or stack in your cookie jar. PIN IT NOW:

Perfect for a splash or water or a paint splatter! Designed by LC Sweets - follow her on Instagram @lc_sweets This cutter comes in a variety of sizes. Pick the best for your project. OUR CUTTERS: We print our cutters on a 3D printer, using a high quality food safe PLA. The cutters we make are to be washed by hand only in warm soapy water and are not dishwasher safe. Putting the cutters in a dishwasher could melt, warp or otherwise damage the PLA. We use a deep purple PLA for our cutters, and they also come with a stepped edge to make a clean crisp cut in your dough. Cutters are printed as they are ordered. We do not keep a stock of printed cutters on hand. SHIPPING: We ship USPS First Class mail as well as International.
Splatter painting works on any cutout cookie. For the examples here, we used our Rich Butter Cookie Cutouts and Vanilla Icing recipes (page 6). Here are the steps for decorating.

Give the interior of your home a splash of colour with this yummy looking Toasted Almond Cookie splatter print. Perfect for that girly bedroom or to add some colour to the kitchen / dining area. Lots of love, care and attention goes in to creating each one of my digitally hand drawn pieces of artwork. These are all made by me from scratch which is why my signature is subtly shown on all prints. Take a look at my other prints available and if you can’t find what you’re looking for then have a look at my ‘Request Your Own’ listing. SIZES These prints are available in the following sizes - A5 (148 x 210 mm) A4 (210mm x 297mm) A3 (297mm x 420mm) A2 (420mm x 594mm) Want a different size? Pop me a message and I’ll see what I can do. POSTAGE AND DELIVERY Please note that I only post to the UK. A5, A4 and A3 prints are delivered flat and unframed, cased in a cellophane bag for protection within a hard backed envelope. All sizes are printed on a heavyweight satin lustre gloss paper (or similar should I need to change suppliers). I aim to post within 1-2 working days by 1st class Royal Mail unless otherwise stated on the listing (i.e. during holiday periods). A2 prints are rolled and delivered in a cardboard tube by Royal Mail. I am not accountable for the Royal Mail delivery times, especially in the event of global pandemics, strikes, etc. Please consider when you require the print and the advertised expected delivery times when you order. Please be aware that in some areas Royal Mail are taking up to a week to ten days to deliver items. PRINTING I aim to fill as much of the paper as possible with the picture when printing. I use a professional inkjet photo printer with inks which are aimed to last at least 100 years behind glass. For A2 sizes I use an external professional printer. Please be aware that actual colours may vary ever so slightly. This is due to the fact that every computer monitor has a different capability to display colours and that everyone sees these colours differently. I am also printing on different textures and papers which affects the colour and absorption of the ink differently. PERSONALISATION If you would like any personalisation please message me first. I’m always up for a challenge so if you would like any changes to any of my prints, or if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me and I’ll do my best to help. Personalised items may take longer to dispatch. REFUNDS AND REPLACEMENTS In the unlikely event that your item/s does not arrive I will aim to issue a refund or replacement as soon as possible. In the event I am refunding an item, I will do so 10 working days after the date it was due to be received by you in accordance with the Royal Mail usual delivery times. NOTES: I retain all rights to the images after purchase.
