OFFICE AND HOURS OF OPERATIONS We're known for our exceptional ice fishing. Our private lakeside location has plenty of free on shore parking and a comfortable, warm waiting area in our log shop. Lake Simcoe is a favourite among many who enjoy fishing for Perch, Herring, Lake Trout and Whitefish. Tim Hales Fish Huts is a Lake Simcoe fish hut operator located in the town of Beaverton, on the East shore of Lake Simcoe, just over a one-hour commute from the Toronto area. Please refer to our Rates page for rate information. FISH HUTS Once escorted to the fishing grounds, your fish hut will be prepared with the heat on and ready for you to start fishing. Pail of minnows, landing nets, and tip-up stands are supplied. All of our huts are the same size and style: 8ft x 8ft square, spray foam insulated, and insulated steel door accommodate up to six people, sleep 2 at night padded benches and back rests propane stove to heat the hut or to cook on solar and battery power 12 volt system, light and USB port Our huts also feature a unique hole system which allows you to change from large, rectangular holes to 7” round holes. This system gives you more usable floor space and is much safer for kids. For those that prefer the large fishing holes, it only takes a moment to change. Tim and his crew work hard to keep his customers on fish. Generally, the huts are moved every week, and several grounds are set up in groups of six huts, spaced approximately 50 steps apart to cover more territory.This allows for a better idea of where the larger schools of fish are, and provides mid-week fishermen a chance to try fishing in fresh grounds All of our fishing grounds are equipped with outhouse facilities. TRANSPORTATION Our main method of transportation is by Bombardier snow bus. Equipped with GPS navigation systems, our Bombardiers ensure comfort, warmth, and reliability in all weather conditions.
