Title: Spring Blooms Artwork Size: 9”x12” Item Description: Shades of pinks, yellows, & slight oranges of watercolor are painted into 9 squares on heavy-weight watercolor paper. Using archival ink, I doodled some pretty spring flowers. This is a handmade, original watercolor and ink painting, not a print. The materials I use are very high-quality materials such as those used in galleries or museums. I do not make my artwork cheap in order to make money, and I am very proud of its quality. Watercolor Paper- I'm using heavy-weight cold-pressed watercolor paper of 140lb. The weight is important because lighter papers need stretching before use and may buckle or wrinkle when wet. Heavy paper can absorb more water and rarely needs stretching. I also find that it helps prevent wear & wrinkles as time goes by. PAINT & VARNISH - I use the best, professional-grade watercolor paint I can with a strong pigment and finish my painting with a varnish that prevents further damage to the painting, such as running and smearing, helps keep the colors honest and original in the long term often increases the color vibrancy of the paintings, which can be prone to atmospheric nasties. It also provides UV filtering and protects the art from environmental pollutants *I will add my signature on the front and the title and date to the back of the painting. *You will also receive a certificate of authenticity.
