just as someone else may gaslight you, self-gaslighting is when you deny your experiences, feelings, emotions, or reality. it can begin as simple doubts or how you reacted to a certain scenario and can escalate to darker thinking about your value and purpose in the world. we can work to eradicate self-gaslighting by working on yourself, facing your past traumas traumas, avoiding questioning your emotions, and positive self talk/affirmations.
