I have baked several cakes before and I must say, Hot milk sponge cake definitely is very easy to make and tastes awesome. Yes friends, Hot milk sponge cake indeed tastes delicious and is so soft and spongy. Further making Hot milk sponge cake requires very few basic ingredients that are available in most of our homes. This recipe has got the name Hot milk sponge cake because here, we do not cream the butter and sugar together as we do in usual sponge cakes. But we add hot milk along with butter to the eggs and sugar batter. This change in mixing adds a different texture and softness to the cake. Add this mix to the egg- sugar mix and beat well. Add vanilla essence and mix well. Now add the dry ingredients and mix gently till there are no lumps. Pour this into a greased aluminium cake mould and place it in the central rack of the oven with upper and lower rods “On”. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes till the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
