Create your own colorful brain while gaining some basic facts about mental health conditions! The Neuro Blooms coloring book is a 20 page, staple bound book which includes coloring pages based on PET scans of brains experiencing mental health conditions. Each brain image represents a different mental health diagnosis, with a total of nine in the book: depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, addiction, ADHD, and schizophrenia. The book includes basic information about mental health, PET technology, and each of the conditions, as well as quotes from people who live with these conditions. The Neuro Blooms project is intended to be an accessible way to spark conversation about the causes and stigmatizing myths about mental health conditions. The book is 8 1/2 x 5 1/2" with a semi gloss card stock cover and pages strong enough to withstand creative scribbling of all kinds. The Neuro Blooms project began with my series of mixed media art called "Brain Stains," and has grown to include exhibits with public programming, enamel pins and this coloring book. People wear pins and purchase art for many reasons including to tell their own struggles with mental health conditions or to show support for loved ones. For more information, please check out my artist website: www.neuroblooms.com 10% of all Neuro Bloom sales are donated to NAMI - the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
