Bordalo II (previously) has created a series of bisected animals, colorful plastics forming one half of the creature while a combination of wood and metal created a muted mirror on the other side. In one piece the Portuguese artist created a turtle with legs that extend to the ground, appearing to crawl along the side of a low wall in Moncton, Canada. Other works are more monumental, such as a rabbit that extends two stories in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, and a raccoon that seems to dangle head first from a building in Pittsburgh. More

El trabajo de Alejandor Durán examina la relación del ser humano con la naturaleza y está enfocado en mostrar el impacto de la cultura de consumo. Washed Up es uno de sus proyectos mas importantes relacionados con esta temática; consiste en una instalación y serie de fotografías de paisajes surrealistas compuestos por basura. Estos deshechos son residuos plásticos de más de 53 países que llegan a las costas de Sian Ka'an en Tulum, una resreva natural protegida por la UNESCO dado su valor ambiental. En su obra crea esculturas con dichos desperdicios; a veces distribuye los objetos como las olas lo harían y en otras ocasiones intenta crear formas que hagan que el espectador los confunda con elementos naturales reflejando como se infiltran en el medio natural.
