Hello to everyone. I hope this finds you well. I am a bit obsessed at the moment with several things. One of these is Saturated Canary images. I printed 2 copies of this image a few weeks ago planning to colour a pink and a blue project. Well as you see I have again coloured a pink Butterfly Baby - pink is another of my obsessions. This image is just an absolute beauty and a joy to colour and design with. My other obsession at the moment is Pinterest. Susan Moffatt you were right. It is compulsive and I spend far to much time drooling over other peoples wonderful design creations. If you want to see some really fabulous projects have a look at my Inspiration and Tutorial Boards. I will be updating these regularly. Enough of my waffle on onto my card which I think looks quite Shabby Chic in style. Wonderful Saturated Canary image Butterfly Baby found here. Coloured using my Promarker and FlexMarker Pens and highlighted with pencil detail. Spellbinder die to cut main shape. Joy Craft Die 6002/0147 for Mount, this is my favourite at the moment, also Joy Craft Leaves and Corner Die Fleur-de-Lys inside card. Other dies are Butterfly, heart, doily and corner floral detail. Flowers are from Prima. I love these. Lace, silver colour heart and pearl string, which I have had for a period of time are all from my stash. There is glitter detail to flower stamens and liquid pearl detail to corner and butterfly. I would like to enter this card in the following Challenges: http://deepoceanchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/challenge-45-letter-b-blue-baby-birthday.html - I have used Butterfly Baby, Butterfly, Blooms. http://flourishes.org/2013/02/timeless-tuesday-207-put-your-heart-on-it/ http://paperminutes.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/paperminutes-256-fruhling-mit.html http://papertakeweekly.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/hearts-flowers.html http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/challenge-50-my-hearts-all-flutter.html http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/tuesday-throwdown-134.html - Anything Goes http://ilovepromarkers.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/challenge-155-one-for-girls.html http://fabnfunkychallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/challenge-158-whats-inside.html http://craftsandmechallenges.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/challenge-120-doily-heaven.html http://www.bellichallenge.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/belli-challenge-163-valentineshearts.html http://flutterbywednesdays.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/flutter-by-wednesday-227.html Image above shows inside detail of card. Base is a shaped Kanban card and the design papers used on this card are Bo Bunny and I think Pion for some of the detail. I have made a label pocket and a shaped and stamped removable New Baby Girl Label. Thank you for reading my waffle and looking at my card. Sending hugs to all. Keep warm and safe. X
Happy Friday! My goodness I'm glad that this week is coming to an end, it's been sooooo busy, I've been surviving on around 4 - 5 hours sleep a night, not good when you have work the next day lol! I have a busy weekend too, but at least I have a couple of days off work to look forward to. Time has been catching up with me a lot lately, I've been very busy at work and there have been all sorts of other pressures on my time outside work that I won't bore you with here, but some days it's been very hard to find the time or even the inclination to craft. With Christmas fast approaching too I've had to sit down and take a serious look at my time management. As there are not enough hours in my day and as I have to work to keep a roof over my head, I've made the painful decision that it's time to cut back on some design team work for now. I would still like to craft, but crafting is a hobby I turn to to chill me out when things are stressful, not to add to my stress with manically trying to get things made for deadline, or making projects with images that are not what I would choose to if I had to buy them. So it's with a sad heart that I'm dropping 2 - 3 of my design teams. I'll make an announcement on my last day of posting for them, but although it was a very difficult decision to make and took hours of thinking and discussing and working out time commitments, I must say that once I'd made the decision I felt a whole deal less stressed. Now that doesn't mean that you won't see posts from me, just that I will have the time to work on things over a longer period of time and do what I feel like, whether that's a card, a mini album, or finally getting around to filming the tutorials for you that I've kept wanting to do. Also I'll be sharing some Candy with you soon as I'm having a big sort out of my crafting corner before Christmas. Once I've organised my life a bit more and caught up on my sleep etc, I'll reassess....after Christmas, to see if I have the balance right and go from there. I think guest spots may be the way to go, they last between 1 post and 3 months, so you always know you can take a break 'soon'. Anyhooo, enough of this waffle and on to my card for today. This card uses one of my favourite stamps for baby cards 'Butterfly Baby' and was made as a special order for a friend of my daughters. As usual links are at the end of my post. I was asked for 'neutral' colours - mint or yellow, as they don't know the sex of the baby yet. This papers are just lovely for it, and on sale too...bargain!! A view from the side so that you can see the dimension. The moon die is from La-La Land Crafts, it was part of a club kit set, but should be released soon and I'm sure Tracy will stock it. Well that's all from me, but I'll have another post for you later today. Have fun! :) xx
Good morning. I hope you're having a fabulous weekend so far! I made this card ages ago but never got around to sharing it on my blog. I don't think this sweet image is available any longer. It's called Butterfly Baby and it was from the Saturated Canary shop. I colored the image with distress inks and used some pretty papers from Graphic 45. The butterflies were cut using a butterfly border die and I added a tiny pearl to the center of each butterfly. I punched a tag using the Martha Stewart Scalloped Tag Punch, stamped the word Baby, and tied the tag onto the bow using some embroidery floss. Thank you so much for stopping by. Hello friends, It's challenge time again at Divas by Design and it's everyone's favourite challenge of ANYTHING GOES. I am sure we will still have lots of spooky style creations with it being so close to Halloween or maybe the festive ones will be creeping in for the holidays now? Anyway, I'll buck the trend completely by doing a wedding card!! This is actually a commission I made a while ago for an Autumnal Wedding. I have used MME papers here and had to mix up my own orange acrylic paint for the edges as I didn't have that colour! I have used gorgeous butterflies from Kays kreative korner, flowers from WOC and wooden heart and metal heart both from LLC. My fabulouso image is of course from Tiddlyinks, I just adore this couple and I have coloured them with prisma pencils. I have edged in vintage photo ink and used a SU foliage stamp around the edge. I can't wait to see what you all create for this Anything goes challenge! Thanks for coming by everyone Much love
Mixed Media Card by The Crippled Crafter. Featuring Petal Lu Blooms and digistamp "Butterfly Baby" by Saturated Canary.
I had been wanting to get this "Butterfly Baby" image by Saturated Canary, ever since Krista announced the coming of it and that some of the money would be going to a charity. It's the most perfect baby image I've seen, but I didn't have anything in mind to use it for... until last month when we got the great news that my sister in law was adopting. Alina is now more than a month old and the baby shower was this past weekend. The video below shares the products I used and the thought process of the card. I hope you enjoy it. Challenges: - Saturated Canary - Challenge 41
I've been playing around with my watercolours learning a new technique for loose floral roses. Here are a couple of my first attempts, one with paint pans and the other with brush markers.
Good Morning everyone, I'm here today with my inspiration card for Saturated Canary . I was asked by a friend of mine to make a baby car...
Hallo iedereen! Deborah

Hi guys! As we're wrapping up 2016, I thought I'd take all the creations that were never published for XYZ reasons and jumble them up in a single post. So it's totally random, but...I mean....let's get organised for 2017! :-P This is Priscilla from the Saturated Canary line at LDRS Creative. She always made me smile! And another one featuring her way back in the days...I think my trimmer was dying on me at that time, eheh! Spring Fawn from the same line was only available in the UK here: Train Depot scene... Buongiornooooo!!! Thanks for stopping by Giò
Stamp- Butterfly Baby. Papers- Crate Paper Story Teller. Afternoon peeps!!!! Its time for a new challenge over on the Saturated Canary challenge blog and the theme for this weeks challenge was chosen by our gorgeous Becky. It is......... "Distress" so for this challenge we want to see you distressed!!! so think torn edges, super inky edges, tears etc!!! Now for the details.... You must follow the theme using either a: Saturated Canary Digi, Saturated Canary rubber stamp, or Simply Sassy rubber stamp So my card features the super cute Butterfly baby stamp. I coloured baby up with a mix of flexmarkers and promarkers and then got to work distressing some yummy layers of delicious papers!! I love love love these papers. So today marked a huge step forward in the life of my little Mo. Siutcase packed and happy smiley face off he went to school for his first ever sleepover trip....actually his first ever sleepover full stop! and I am so brimming with pride that he felt comfortable enough to give it all a go and so very very thankful to a truly awesome teaching team for giving him the support he needed to feel able to go for it. There were a couple of little hiccups in the night last night where little feet came pootling down to our bedroom....3 times.....to ask what he should do if he missed us at bedtime or needed us in the night. Lots of snuggles and kisses helped with this problem and seemed to do the trick. I told him its ok to miss people but to have oodles of fun at the same time and he seemed to understand that. This morning he spent a very long time looking at the schedule school had printed out for him and he kept that in his pocket. He needed a few extra snuggles at the school gate and still kept checking the schedule until bell time!! he asked me to stay until he had gone to the classroom but even that is a massive step forward for him and I am just so proud. I am hoping bedtime goes without a glitch for him and he sleeps really well (...because he wakes up at 4:30am on the dot every morning regardless of what time he has gone to bed the night before!!) I packed him up a little brioche and a drink of chocolate milk incase he wakes super early and we bought him the new ' Diary of a wimpy kid' book to read and my mom gave him a booklite so he doesn't disturb the others too much. So tonight will be a new one for me and Scott! the first time in 8 years we haven't had a little cutie to sort out! ....gulp!!!! that bit is kinda hard for me, few tears on my way home but I was a good mamma and didn't let Mo see anything but excitement for his big journey. Thank you so much for popping in on me! hugs Lou xxx
Haven’t used a Saturated Canary image for awhile and this one was coloured up and ready to be made into a card. I lacked inspiration last week so kept it simple with a few Musical Notes die cut from a very old MFT die. Sentiment is Tiny Word from Simon Says Stamp. Thankfully Hubby got his vaccination yesterday, still not sure when I’ll get mine but feeling a bit more positive especially now we have a Wedding to look forward to.

Hello! DT Jane here today to share a card with you all......I have used Butterfly Baby for my baby card today....coloured with my Copics.......I love making baby cards as I know they will be cherished forever! if you wish you can find more details over on my blog! xx
Hello peeps, it’s the Canada Day long weekend here and we are having great weather, although it certainly didn't start that way! Why am I on the computer you’re probably thinking right? Well I have a special post for you today, because I made a special card for a friend’s daughter and I must get it packaged up with a little gift. My friend’s daughter, Paula, recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. Now one would think that this is a wonderful occasion, but this time there is a sad factor to this otherwise wonderful blessing. For many years Paula was unable to carry a baby to full term, but recently the medical reason was discovered. As a result of this discovery and subsequent treatment Paula learned she was carrying twin girls. As with most multiple births, statistics go against carrying them to full term and this indeed did happen to Paula. Heartbreakingly, one twin was stillborn; her name was Charlotte. Thankfully her sister Claudia survived and is presently thriving so I am told. I will be meeting Claudia for the first time very soon, so of course I had to make a card to go along with my gift. I chose Saturated Canary’s Butterfly Baby for a couple of reasons. Reason #1; it is my understanding that Krista designed this image for another special baby who suffers from a rare illness. Krista did this in order to raise money to help the family with their medical costs. Reason #2; this image has wings, and I thought it could also represent angel wings, as in Charlotte is now and angel watching over her sister. I discovered this CAS layout somewhere out there in blog land and instantly fell in love with it, but unfortunately I cannot tell you where or I most certainly would. Sleeper - R00, R20, 21, 22 and colorless blender Wings - BG0000, 000, N0, R21, 22 plus Stardust Stickles Skin - E0000, 000, 00, 11, R20 Eyes/Sleeper bottom - BG93, 96, YG 03 Hair - E50, 51, 53, 55, 57 I found this beautiful quote online and thought it appropriate for this occasion as well. So peeps, I have taken enough of your valuable time, and I must get back to enjoying the remainder of this long weekend with some friends. Take care and thanks for stopping by JS
Happy Tuesday everyone, I hope you all enjoyed your Easter holiday, I certainly did! I'm here with my inspiration post for Dies to Die for . I've made rather a lot of Easter/Spring cards recently with spring colours, so I thought I'd do something completely different, although still kind of spring related. Spring is a time of new growth and that includes new babies, so I thought I'd make a lovely baby card using the wonderful Sweet Baby collection from Pion Design. Links to products used are at the end of my post. Everything has been inked with Walnut Stain DI and I've stitched my papers with top stitch thread as I usually do. I used the Butterfly Baby stamp by Saturated Canary for Little Darlings Rubber Stamps. Isn't it just the sweetest? and of course suitable for a boy or girl. I coloured it with my Copics; Skin: E0000, E000, E00, E11, R20, R11 Hair: E50, E51, E33, E35 Outfit: B91, B93, B95, E40, E41, E42 I covered the wings in Rock Candy crackle paint mixed with Glamour Dust, which gives a lovely effect, but doesn't show up very well in the photos. You can probably see it best here, although the crackle texture is still not showing up sadly. Isn't that Memory Box Baby Clothes die just adorable? I decided to go a little Shabby Chic with this one and added a little white acrylic paint here and there. To finish I added a sentiment made with stickers from the Authentique - Smitten pad, an MME brad fixing my little bow and a little Stork and Baby charm. I hope you like my share for today, I'll be back later with my second post for today and it's super exciting! In the meantime, if you haven't already, why not pop your name down here for a chance to win some super blog candy and I'll see you again in a bit! : ) x x I'm entering this in the following: Inky Chicks Challenge #27 - Shabby Chic Saturated Canary - Butterfly Baby Pion Design - Sweet Baby - Baby Boy 6 x 6 Pion Design - Sweet Baby - Blue Baby Blanket Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Border Punch Set - Vintage Doily Baby Clothes Spellbinders - Nestabilities - Stately Circles *NEW* Cheery Lynn - Fancy Corners #1 Baby Charm My Mind's Eye - Lush - Decorative Brads - Blue Authentique - Smitten 6 x 6 Pad Neenah Cardstock Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pad - Walnut Stain Memento Ink Pad - Tuxedo Black Liquid Pearls - Platinum Pearl InLinkz.com
Hello my lovelies how are you all? Well we have a brand new challenge over at Saturated Canary this week, these weeks sure are flying by fast!! This week it was my turn to set the theme, so I went for my favourite.............. SHABBY CHIC ...........yes its SC at SC.....(shabby chic at saturated canary), I lurve shabby chic so I thought I would try something new. I have made a card & matching gift type thingy for my new grandchild Arjay ;0) I've seen one of these somewhere on Pinterest, cant remember where & didnt know if there was even a tutorial so had a go at different things & finally worked out how to do it................yay me..... THIS IS PHOTO HEAVY I'M AFRAID I've also used my fave SC image, yep def still my fave & is fab for lots of occasions ;0) Can you tell whats next to the card yet?????? It was hard to photo so sorry for any bad piccies.... I've made a Hot Air Balloon............ I am quite proud of this tbh & I hope Megan & Ben will like it & hang it in Arjays room..............well when he goes into his own room. The larger pearl hanging in the middle is a Tim Holtz 'Bauble' I also added a home made 'Angel' to the chain. I have added 3 'Angels Among Us' by Melissa Frances to the balloon, Arjay is our little miracle so the angels represent that. The bells are kind of like sand bags that you get on the basket as weights lol. I also added MF 'Pleated Ribbon', Flat Pearl String & the little feet I made myself out of plaster. This is the card to match for our little Arjay, I wanted to wait to give cards & gifts til Arjay came home cus then I was welcoming him home. Lace & ribbon are from my stash. Flowers are form WOC & I added gesso to them. The banner I made from La La Land Crafts 'Heart Banner' die. The image is the beautiful 'Butterfly Baby' digi image but for all you rubber fans this is also available in rubber as well now ;0) The image has been coloured with Copics, colours used below. E11, E21, E00, E000, R20 - Skin E57, E55, E53, E51 - Hair B97, B95, B93, B91 - Blue part of clothes & wings C3, C1, C00 - White-ish part of clothes & wings I also added 'Cheese Cloth' under the image. The resin image thingy I also made quite a while ago & neglected him, I also have a little girl. I dabbed gesso around the edge of the little boy for a shabbier look to it. The papers I've had forever & only ever used 2 sheets I think lol but the colours were fab for this project so I used it. The pad is First Edition 'Up Up & Away', not sure where to get it from as I have had this since it was released. I've also inked up the papers with Pumice Stone distress ink & they have been machine stitched. I've also added Melissa Frances Pearls to the corners of the card. This looks sooooooooo much better in real life, I will try get a better photo of the balloon as it really is quite hard to photo. Alos I will look for the pin on pinterest that gave me the inspiration, it was ages ago but I would like to credit where its due. Anyway thats it from me, hope you made it to the end lol. As always all highlighted words will take you directly to the products used. Thanks for stopping by, big squishy hugs to all mmwah xxxxxxxxxxx Challenges I'm Entering............. Happy Friday! My goodness I'm glad that this week is coming to an end, it's been sooooo busy, I've been surviving on around 4 - 5 hours sleep a night, not good when you have work the next day lol! I
