Learn how to make a side step fun fold card using the Stampin Up Window Wishes bundle. Card 12 in the series.
Of all my cards this week using the Window Wishes Bundle, I think today's is my favorite! I took inspiration from a card Stampin' Up! made using this bundle. I used the bundle to create a
Hello stampers, Today I'm getting into thinking about Christmas cards since the weather has finally turned to fall where I'm at & I'm already seeing snow pics from friends & family. I definitely don't miss it being that cold, BRR! For today's card, I'm featuring the Window Wishes Bundle. I started by die-cutting the window from Crumb Cake & Basic White Cardstock. On the full inside piece of Basic White Cardstock, I stamped the tree using Crumb Cake Ink (stamped off once) then stamped the snowflakes in VersaMark Ink & embossed them with the retired Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder for a little glimmer. This was then attached to the more intricate window die using Multipurpose Glue. For the outer window, I used Crumb Cake Cardstock then attached the sill part using the same cardstock with Multipurpose Glue. I used Basic White Cardstock & stamped the candles using Balmy Blue Ink (stamped off once) then colored the wicks using So Saffron & Pale Papaya Stampin' Blends Combo Packs then attached them to both pieces of the window. I used Basic White Cardstock for the wreath using Shaded Spruce Ink, then attached a die-cut Balmy Blue Cardstock bow before attaching to the window. I embossed a layer of Basic White Cardstock using the Brick & Mortart 3D Embossing Folder & attaching it to a Basic White Cardstock base. The window was then popped up using Stampin' Dimensionals. ~Thanks for stopping by! All supplies are Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted. Heart of Christmas Blog Hop: Window Wishes Luminary Easel Card Hello. Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and the next Art with Heart Team Heart of Christmas Blog Hop for 2022. So glad you are joining us for our ninth 2022 Heart of Christmas Blog Hop. My card uses the Window Wishes bundle and the Hope & Peace stamp set for the sentiments. Here is my card: I had yet to ink the Window Wishes stamp set so I decided to use this bundle for my card this week. As my thinking developed, I thought about creating a luminary card and determined to create it as an easel card. To do this a Thick Basic White piece of card-stock was scored and burnished and 2 other panels of Basic White card-stock were prepared for the card front. One panel was centred over the other card front and the window die from the coordinating Window dies was used to cut a window shaped hole in the same place in both pieces. The same die was used to cut a window hole in the card base. The top panel was embossed with the Brick & Mortar 3D embossing folder and the window frame was embossed with the Timber 3D embossing folder. Some Snowflake Speciality Vellum was laid between the 2 top panels and the window die cut pieces layered on top. The wreath stamp from the Window Wishes stamp set was stamped in Parakeet Party Classic Stampin' ink with touches of Evening Evergreen ink applied with a Sponge Dauber. It was die cut with the coordinating die and a also bow was die cut from Cherry Cobbler card-stock. The finer pine frond and pinecone large die from the Christmas Pinecone dies was used with Basic White card-stock. The pine fronds were coloured with a mix of Parakeet Party and Evening Evergreen inks using Stampin' Up!s delightful Blending Brushes. The pinecones were coloured with Crumb Cake ink. The pieces were carefully separated using my Paper Snips and then arranged at the base of the window as if it was siting in a window box. The wreath and bow were adhered together and then placed behind the Speciality Vellum. A piece of Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon was coloured with a Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend and then it was tied into a triple loop bow before being attached with Glue Dots. Some Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels were also coloured with the Cherry Cobbler Blend and a few were sprinkled amongst the pine fronds. I had hoped to stamp and colour a couple of little birds but time was short so three Brushed Brass Butterflies were added. Inside the card a half panel of Basic White Brickwork embossed card-stock was adhered near the bottom. Three thin strips of Basic White card-stock were adhered one on top of the inner embossed panel and an extra strip was Timber 3D embossed before being adhered on top. These layers will act as a stopper to allow the decorated front panel to stand like and easel. A rectangle remaining from the window die cuts was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink with a sentiment from the Hope & Peace stamp set. The label was centred on the inner embossed panel and popped up on Dimensionals. Three extra coloured Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels finished this panel. As any personal message written on the top section of the card inner could be seen through the Vellum window pane, the back panel of the card (that would be the bottom when the card forms an easel) was prepared for a personal message to be written. A panel of Basic White card-stock was stamped with the wreath stamp and a Cherry Cobbler card-stock bow added on top. The sentiment "Merry Christmas" was stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink. A C6 Basic White envelope was also stamped with the wreath and the sentiment. The only thing left to do is show a picture of the Window Wishes Luminary Easel card with a little battery tea light glowing through the window. Thank you so much for dropping in. Hi everyone, sorry it's been so long since the last freebie but I have been making the most of the lovely weather we are having here in the UK while it lasts. This is variation of a previous window aperture freebie. I found a nice backing paper in my stash which fitted perfectly behing the aperture. When I have decided what I am going to use it for I will probably add some flower embellishments and a sentiment to the front. I have been quite busy making some new designs for my store - https://www.craftsuprint.com/shirley-young/ These are a few of my favourites. Hope you like the freebie Download svg file here Download studio file here Thanks in advance if you leave a comment either here or on my Facebook page it's always nice to read them.
Spellbinders released a collection from Tina Smith just a few days ago, named Windows with a View, all themed around windows. I have 2 cards for you today that use some of these new die sets. supplies: white, beige, and various colors of cardstock, Spellbinders Vista View Window and Backyard Haven dies, sentiment from Happy Hello Floral stamp and matching die, Classic Backdrop 3D embossing folder How fun is this Backyard Haven set! You can see on my card the tree, bird bath, birds, birdhouse, and a squirrel, but what I didn't use was a tire swing, individual leaves and flowers, and an owl! So much to play with to make your own perfect little scene! There is a set of sentiments which I didn't receive, called Sending Sunshine Sentiments, with lots that will work with all of the sets. Here's my 2nd card, using the Window again, plus the new Botanical Solarium dies. supplies: white, charcoal, various greens, oranges, and rusts cardstock, Vista View Window dies, Botanical Solarium dies, sentiment from (retired) Through the Garden Gate Sentiments I added a shelf to the bottom of the window, part of the Vista Window set, and then filled it with potted plants. I used mostly green leafy plants, but there are also a nice selection of all kinds of florals, plus a pretty pitcher that you can use to display them, in the Solarium set. I was especially tickled to see the gardening tools included, too! Gardeners will love this set! I hope you'll take a look at the other sets in Tina's collection; there's 1 called Up in the Air, Coastal Escape View, and the sentiment stamp set I mentioned above. Thanks for stopping by - have a good one!
I had so many hopes that I would enter this week with my Christmas tree up and with the house decorated for the Holidays. With all the eating and sitting around that needed to take place over the weekend, no Christmas decorations are up. I will adjust my goal to

I saw Michelle's beautiful card she made for the brand new Die-ing for a Challenge blog 'Anything Goes' challenge. You can check the new Die-ing For A Challenge blog here. There will be a themed challenge each month but they're breaking us in gently with an Anything Goes theme for the first challenge. I have a good collection of dies but it just so happened that I had received a brand new die so I thought I'd use that to take part in the challenge. It's the wonderful Poppystamps Grand Madison Window die - I LOVE it! I thought my brick embossing folder would be a perfect partner for the window so I first embossed some Core'dinations CS, scuffed it to reveal the mortar detail and covered the front of a cream A6 card blank. As my window was to be on the outside with the viewer looking in, I rootled in my patterned paper stash to find something that would resemble wallpaper. I glued that to a piece of CS and glued that panel to the card front. I die cut the window from Crumb Cake CS, stamped my woodgrain stamp over the top in Soft Suede ink and also sponged the edges with the same ink. For my window blind I die cut a vanilla Dainty Lace Border, glued that to the bottom of a strip of wide striped grosgrain ribbon and glued that behind the frame. I'll be honest here - I actually tried the ribbon as curtains first but that wasn't working at all for me so then I hit upon the idea of a blind which I found much easier! I then popped up the frame on the card front using 3d foam tape. I wanted to have a potted plant on the outside of my window frame so I punched a pot from Cajun Craze CS and sponged the edges with Cajun Craze ink. I die cut Little Leaves from Old Olive CS, snipped them, sponged the edges with olive ink and glued them to the pot. I punched 3 small Razzleberry flowers, placed them on a foam moulding mat and added some shaping by pressing a large ended embossing stylus in the centres. I glued the flowers on and added gem centres. I stamped the Warm Wishes sentiment on Vanilla CS, punched it out with the Modern Label punch, sponged the edges, popped it up and added more gems. For the inside of the card and the envelope I inked up the gorgeous SU! Forever Flowers wheel in Rich Razzleberry ink and added some colour with inks and a blender pen. I found this quite a time consuming card to make, not one you can churn out in five minutes and my desk looked like a bomb site after I'd done! But, oh my goodness, it was such fun, I think this is a very versatile die and I'm looking forward to playing with it more! Supplies: Stamps: 'Warm Wishes' from SU! Cheer & Wishes set, Hero Arts Designer Woodgrain background stamp, SU! Forever Flowers wheel CS: PaperMania cream A6 card blank, SU! Welcome to my Christmas in July Color Challenge card for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop. I chose the new Window Wishes Bundle from the July-December Mini Catalog to use for my card. The Stamping INKspiration's Hop is mixing things up a bit with this Christmas in July Theme- We had the choice of a cold color pallet or a warm color pallet. Since my home has snow for Christmas more often than not - I chose the cold weather pallet on the left, consisting of Cherry Cobbler, Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Sahara Sand & Early Espresso. I actually kind of messed up because I thought Crumb Cake was one of the colors - not Sahara Sand - but I still got my three colors in there - which are Cherry Cobbler as the candles and bow, Evening Evergreen as the base and evergreens, & Soft Succulent as the lighter color of the evergreens. This was made from the Window Wishes Bundle with the exception of the bow and the Christmas Tree - the Window Wishes includes a bow but I love thicker, fuller bow from the Cottage Wreaths Die set. The Christmas Tree is from the SALE a-bration Die Set - Tree Lot dies which is free with a $100 purchase until the end of August (while supplies last). The swag under the candles is just another of the window topper swags cut into smaller pieces. The Evergreen striped "wallpaper" inside the window is from Boughs of Holly DSP pack. I speckled my outdoor greenery and bow with some white ink in hopes of snow for Christmas! I like to decorate the insides of my cards, as well as the envelopes. The Window Wishes comes with several sentiments, but I really love both the font and the words of the sentiment I chose from the Brightest Glow stamp set. Just a nice little wreath with the word peace is a beautiful way to greet whom ever opens this card! I hope you enjoyed my card! Now it is on to see what everyone else has done for this Christmas Color Challenge Hop! It will be fun to see which color pallet everyone uses. If you are following along in order - Vickie Littlewood is up next! Angie McKenzie ● Jan Musselman ● Karen Henderson Mo Rootes ● Sue Allen ● Annette Ball Susan Webster ● Danielle Kassing ● Ann Krucek Vickie Littlewood ● Leonie Stuart ● Aurélie Fabre Tricia Butts ● Sharon Hashimoto Burkert ● Judith Patterson Now I am off to watch another Christmas in July Hallmark movie!!

Welcome to the blog! If this is your first time here, consider signing up for my email list which is the first place I share Facebook Live sneak peeks, new product launches and project sheets, classes, events and more! Click here to sign up: https://lp.constantcontactpages.com/su/GLk7fdL For today's card you will need the Window Wishes Bundle from Stampin' Up! or a "build a scene" stamp set of some kind with house or town images. I also recommend trees, but for the sake of this blog post I will be referring to the Window Wishes Bundle and recommend it. First, I CASEd this card from the Mini Catalog July to December 2022 from Stampin' Up! See Page 36. If you are not familiar with CASEing it means to Copy And Share Everything (correct me if that isn't it I sometimes get the E in CASE confused). Now, I did not do an EXACT or PRECISE CASE. I changed up the layout very slightly. My rooftops are stamped and die cut. Stampin' Up! used Gold Foil for the die cut rooftops so they did not need the stamp for the rooves. Their sentiment is on a separate piece of cardstock. Mine is stamped directly on the card. I changed the color of the houses but the DESIGN & CONCEPT are the same so I am calling this a CASE card. I hope that helps! And I want to give credit where it is due! I was so inspired by this card! A few things before I get to the assembly and instructions: Sale-a-Bration is happening now! July 1 - Aug 31, 2022 When you purchase the Window Wishes BUNDLE you will qualify for a Level 1 Sale-a-Bration reward ($50 purchase before tax and shipping) I have a July Host Code! When you spend $50 in the online store with me (before tax and shipping) I'll send you a FREE embellishment in August. Great way to great free products when you shop! All of the product links are below and the Host Code has already been added to the links so it will auto populate in your shopping cart when you click the bundle link below. CARD MEASUREMENTS/ WHAT YOU NEED: Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2" score at 4-1/4" Mint Macaron Cardstock Layer 1: Basic White Cardstock 4-1/8 x 5-3/8" Layers 2, 3, 4: Long Scraps of Basic White Cardstock about 1 or 2 inches wide that you can trim to 5-1/2" length wise for your scene 5 Stamped & Die Cut Houses 5 Stamped & Die Cut Rooves for the Houses 5 Single Tree Die Cuts (Garden Green Cardstock) 5 Double Tree Die Cuts (Garden Green Cardstock) Sentiment Stamp "Merry Wishes" in Shaded Spruce Embellishment: Seasonal Adhesive Backed Sequins in Frosty White (5 of them) Here are the colors I chose for the stamped houses: Tahitian Tide, Sweet Sorbet, Mint Macaron, Blushing Bride and Shaded Spruce Note: I also use Shaded Spruce Ink for the tree branch pattern on the die cut trees and also for the Sentiment stamp I chose Soft Suede for the roof of each house on this card but if you want to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) Stampin' Up! used Gold Foil for the die cut rooftops! See Page 36 in the Mini Catalog July to December 2022 from Stampin' Up! You can use your Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine for this project! Stamp and die cut your houses, trees and rooftops. Cut a slope into your long Basic White scraps at the top edge of each scrap. There are two slope dies that help create this look for you. Use your Paper Snip scissors to continue that downward slope and trim off the excess at the edge of the card. For the bottom slope, if using scrap clean up the bottom edge with your Paper Trimmer. I recommend gluing pieces as you assemble and for the three slopes, glue at the sides or middle but not too close to the slope edge so you can easily tuck and glue in the houses and trees. Nestle your houses and trees in a pattern you like! No rules! Or refer to the card samples. That's it! Finish by stamping your sentiment lower right corner and top it off with sequins that sparkle like snowflakes. Isn't it beautiful!!!! There are a bunch of pieces to this card but it is SO WORTH the effort. I love cards that create an instant cozy feeling and this card does that beautifully!! DID YOU KNOW... Our new July-December Mini has begun and so has Sale-a-Bration! This card for today uses a little from both! We are showcasing the Window Wishes Bundle with the Window dies. I love them! We recently made this card as one of our projects for a Luv 2 Create Team meeting....
It's another nice Summer day here in Malta and we will soon be off to the pool to relax and hopefully heal from this pain I have on the left side of my chest. Still can't move or swim properly without feeling any pain. .. Feeling really unhappy and hoping it would heal soon :( Fingers crossed :) Anyway, I thought I would share this New Home Card I made for a friend of mine ... As you can see it's a different card from my usual style, with only dies and a butterfly punch, and no images or coloring with my promarkers! It's good to try something different I think! The background DP is from a Papermania Paperpack, the dies are all Memory Box, with the exception of the grass, which is a Die-Namics one. Hope you like it. Entering my card in these challenges today. Totally Gorjuss 245 - BUTTERFLIES Crafty Girls 22 - ANYTHING GOES Charisma Cardz 15 - ANYTHING GOES Thank you for looking xxx
