It's time for My Favorite Things October Release Countdown! This month there's a ton of cuteness + Christmas, and Day 5 begins with Merry Everything. The set features a Santa and several reindeer drawn in a "folksy" manner. I colored the Santa and one of the reindeer with Copics and cut them with the matching dies. They were mounted to a red scalloped circle with dimensional foam adhesive and I white embossed the sentiment. A top folding natural card base was stamped with the Chevron Grid Background in Versamark ink for a tone on tone look. I finished off the card by adhering the circle to the card base. My first Christmas card, done! Visit today's countdown post at My Favorite Things for more inspiration from the Creative Team and stop by tomorrow for Day 4 of the countdown. Thanks for stopping by today! InLinkz.com

Hello there, I am over on the My Favorite Things YouTube channel today, sharing a tag using some products from the November 2023 release. I love the shape of the Fanciful Frame STAX Die-namics and thought they would perfectly for a tag! PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off by die cutting one of the MFT Fanciful Frames STAX Die-namics twice from white cardstock. On one piece, I stamped the snow bank image from the MFT Warm Winter Hugs on top using black ink. I made a mask from masking paper and placed it onto the panel. Using blending brushes, I blended Picked Raspberry Distress Ink on top, focussing the darker colour towards the bottom of the sky. I then blended Seedless Preserves Distress Ink on top, to darken it slightly. I removed the mask then coloured the snow and trees using Copic Markers. I adhered the other panel to the back using tape runner adhesive. I cut a hole at the top of the panel using a Crop-A-Dile to make the shape into a tag. I cut the hole reinforcer piece from the MFT Do-It-All Gift Tag Die-namics, twice, from MFT Black Licorice Cardstock and then adhered them (on the front and the back) around the hole. I threaded twine through the tag and tied in a bow at the front. I stamped one of the snowmen from the MFT Snow Happy Stamp Set onto white cardstock and coloured him using Copic Markers (the colours that I used are listed below the supplies area). He was die cut out using the MFT Snow Happy Die-namics and adhered to the tag using foam tape. I added white gel pen stars and snow to the sky, clear glaze pen to his nose and buttons and then added White Blizzard Glitter Nuvo Drops to the hat. VIDEO: Here is the video showing how I made the tag: If you are viewing this post via email subscription, you can watch the video HERE on YouTube. SUPPLIES: Here are the links to what I have used on the project. Affiliate links are used on some products. This means that if you make a purchase after clicking on my link, I receive a small commission with no extra cost to you. I truly appreciate your support when using these links. Please click on the logo below the product to shop at your favourite store. All products were personally purchased except those from Clearly Besotted, Hero Arts or those marked with an asterisk (*) which were kindly sent to me to use. You can read my full disclosure here. COPIC MARKERS: Snowman - BG13, BG11, BG10, 0/RV69, RV66, RV55, RV52/C3, C1, C0/C8, C10/YR18, YR16, YR12. Trees - G28, YG17, YG23, YG01. Snow - BG13, BG11, BG10, 0. I didn't add a sentiment in case I want to add it to a card (and I might want the sentiment in a different place). If I don't and I send it as a standalone tag, I will stamp a sentiment or write a personal message on the back. Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really do appreciate it. Wishing you a wonderful day!

In case you missed the news, MFT are now doing a month Christmas card challenge in place of the slimline challenge, join in monthly and get ahead on all your holiday cards! My inspiration card today uses the following MFT products:- Christmas Carols Christmas Carols Die-namics Blueprints 25 I started by ink blending a white A2 panel using Distress Oxides in Peacock Feathers, Uncharted Mariner, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. I splashed with water and then added a little white acrylic paint to the water and spattered that until I had a nice little blizzard going! I die cut the panel using Blueprints 25 to give it a nice finished edge and I stamped the sentiment. I stamped the images from Christmas Carols illustrated by Stacey Yacula and coloured them with Copic markers:- Cow - E37, E34, C3, C1, C00 Bird - E77, E74, E70 Goat - W3, W2, W0, W00 Piglet - R11, R00, R000 Lamb - C3, C1, C0, C00, R11, R00, R000, R0000 Green - YG67, YG45 Red - R39, R29 Blushes - R20, R00, R000 Street Lamp - T5, T3, YR04, Y38, Y19, Y06 I highlighted with a white gel pen and die cut then backed them with one or two layers of dimensional foam tape and applied them to the scene to form a group of carollers. To finish I used white pigment ink to stamp in some soft snowflakes and I stamped and glued the musical notes floating away from them. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and don't forget to visit and subscribe to the MFT You Tube Channel for endless how-to videos, inspiration and product reveals.
Hello and welcome to day 2 of the My Favorite Things October Release Countdown. For the next five days, we'll be sharing cards and projects featuring all of the new products coming out on October 9th at 10am EDT. For my card today I used the adorable new Happy Llamadays stamp set and combined it with the Fa la la Die-namics to create a bright and colourful holiday card. I created the sky area with Distress inks, and then I added snow to the background with white acrylic paint mixed with water. Once it was dry, I added the two snow hills to the bottom that were diecut from the Stitched Snowdrifts Die-namics. I die cut the Fa la la and adhered a portion of it to the background. I wanted room to add the llama, so I didn't adhere the last to la's in the second and third row. I stamped and coloured the llama with Copic markers and used colours that would match the background scene that I had created. I adhered the llama onto the snow drifts, and I completed the card with a sentiment stamped on black card stock and some clear sequins sprinkled onto the card front. Thanks so much for joining me for Day 2 of the October release countdown. Make sure to head over to the MFT blog for a closer look at the new products and more ideas using them. See you Tuesday for the release party! Supplies: Share:facebook - twitter - pinterest My Favorite Things October Release Countdown | Day 2
Hi there! Today I’m back with a Christmas card using non-traditional colors. I colored my Santa – a stamp from the My Favorite Things "...
Welcome to another weekly Sketch Challenge! Turn each inspiring sketch into a mini work of art to add to your stash — you could also add $50 worth of brand new MFT to your collection! Now that is a win-win. Below you'll find Sketch 408. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this week's sketch and be sure to link your project below for a chance at the weekly My Favorite Things Gift Voucher. MFT products are encouraged, but not required. We just want to see what this week’s sketch inspires you to create! You can enter your cards for this week's challenge in the Inlinkz Link Up at the bottom of this post. We're welcoming Erica back to the Challenge blog today with her take on this week's sketch. Erica used the new Christmas Background stamp to create a gold embossed backdrop for her festive pup and added a coordinating sentiment with the same embossed detail. The striped patterned paper frames her scene and coordinates nicely with the colorful Christmas lights. Vika created a holiday card with a primarily pink color palette, and we love the non-traditional look it adds to her card. Her sweet puppy images have found a perfect resting spot in the die cut Happy Holidays Frame while the white card stock strip helps the scene stand out from the background. Keisha used the same pink text patterned paper as Vika but paired hers with the traditional reds and greens of Christmas. Large sequins add detail and dimension to her card, and a stamped sentiment on the white card stock panel completes the design. Congratulations, Amy Tsuruta! You are the randomly selected winner of last week’s sketch challenge. You can view all the entries for last week’s challenge HERE. Now, it's your turn. You have until Tuesday, October 30th, at noon EDT to add your link and be eligible for the prize of $50 in MFT Cash to be spent in the MFT boutique. Hello all, One day closer to the September release by My Favorite Things! Only four more days to go until the September release will be avaible! For my Inspiration card today i went outside my comfort zone and used some unusual colors combined with the Sending Christmas Joy Die-Namics, Cristmas Cardinals and the City Block Background. Cut a Tropical Teal panel and heat embost the background stamp on to it using gold embossing powder. Added some depth to the panel by inking up the sides using Tropical Teal ink. Die cut the sentiment out of gold and Tropical Teal cardstock. Added some details to the teal letters and placed them on the card. Stamped the images, colored them up and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Placed them on the card and finished the front panel using some enamel dots. Added some Glossy accent on the berries, some puff on the hat before glueing the panel on a Tropical Teal cardbase. Used Copic Colors: Red - R59, R39, R37, R29, R27, R24 Green - G99. Hi there crafters! Just sharing a fun winter card today! Created with the adorable snowmen from the Present Time stamp set from My Favorite Things! These guys are just amazing! I just love this new amazing stamp set! I do have a soft spot for a fun snowman, so this set had to be mine! I choose a slimline card base for this fun card, adding a fun front panel that I diecutted with a Stitched Slimline Recangle die. I blended a sky using different blue Distress Oxide ink colours from Ranger. I added some snow drops and then diecutted two pieces of white cardstock to create a snowy underground with using the new Snow Drifts slimline dies from Mft! I then stamped, diecutted and coloured the cute images from the set before adding them on to my card using dimensionals. I didn't add text this time, I just kept looking at the amazing snowmen! Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

I combined this set with the Sending Big Hugs Die-Namics and turned it into a traditional card. On a piece of Kraft cardstock I inkblended some white ink. Splattered some white paint and using the First Snowfall stencil and some white paste I made the snow. Die cut the Sending Bug Hugs Die-Namics out of red cardstock and inkblended half of the letters with a red ink and added some white lines using a white gelpen. Cut a border of snow using the Stitched Snow Drifts Die-Namics and adered them onto the kraft base. Adhered the whole panel onto a topfold Smooth White base card. Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the Holiday Hello Die-Namics. Adhered all the elements on the card using foam tape. Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and trimmed it to a banner. Used Copic Colors: Reindeer - E59, 57, E55, E53, E51, E50 / E47, E44, E43 / R22, R20, R00 / W5, W3 Green - G99, G94, G21 Wood - E37, E35, E33, E31 White - C5, C3, C1 Red - R37 If you need to be even more inspired after this post make sure to have a look over at My Favorite Things Youtube Channel. Thanks for coming by my blog today where I'm sharing this card spotlighting the new release from MFT! Here's what I've used:- Christmas Carols Christmas Carols Die-namics Stitched Snow Drifts Die-namics Birch Tree Forest Cover-Up Die-namics A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics I kicked things off by creating the background. I like my backgrounds to inform the rest of my colour choices when colouring the different elements. For the blend I used Festive Berries, Aged Mahogany and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks. I then liberally splashed the background with white acrylic paint loosened with water. Over this I layered a white cardstock die cut made using the Birch Tree Forest Cover-Up Die-namics and then I framed this out using the A2 Rectangle Frames Die-namics. I used the negative cut created when cutting the frame and die cut some snowy ground for them to stand on using the Snow Drifts Die-namics. Before applying it within the frame I stamped the sentiment. I stamped the Christmas Carols images I'd be using with black Memento Ink and I coloured with the following Copic marker combinations:- Red - R89, R39, RV29 Green - G29, G28, YG67 Black - T6, T5 White - C3, C1, C0 Fox - E09, E07, E17, E15 Blushes - R22, R21, R20, R00 Skin - E33, E11, E21 Santa's Beard, W5, W3 I highlighted with a white gel pen and die cut using the coordinating die-namics. I applied Santa with regular depth dimensional foam tape but with the other two characters I used a thicker foam tape to add even more dimension. Of course you can just double stack the regular stuff to give much the same affect. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and don't forget to visit and subscribe to the MFT You Tube Channel for endless how-to videos, inspiration and product reveals.

Hello all, Today I'm back again with the new Slimline Challenge by My Favorite Things. Each month we challenge you to create a project in a slimline seize. This month we challenge you to create a project that has anything to do with Flying. So to include something flying in your project there is a whole lot of products avaible in the shop. For this months card i decided to go winter and made a Christmas card using the Winter Songbird. The base of the card is a sidefold Smooth White basecard. Adhered a piece of acetate on the back, filled the shaker and glued it on to the base card. One of the My Favorite Things stamp sets I come back to each year is the Happy Llamadays. I just love those llama images. I created this Christmas card with two of the images that come with the set. For the background I used a Mermaid cardbase. I ink blended the top edges with Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. I wanted a bit more for the background, so I used the new Snowflake Trio Stencil from Lawn Fawn and Yeti Ink to add some snowflakes. And I love the look of it. For the ground, I used Kraft cardstock, which I die cut with the Simple Stitched Hillside Borders. I added splatter to it with Ground Espresso Distress Ink. I stampe two llamas and colored them with Copic Markers. Here are the colors I used: Llamas: E25 - E29/ E000 - E00 - E21 - E04/ W3 - W5/ Y08 - Y17 Blankets + presents: R14 - R27 - R39/ B12 - B14/ Y08 - Y17/ G07 - G14 I fussy cut the images and added everything to my cardbase. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of Chili Pepper cardstock, which was die cut with the Fancy Folded Banner die from Lawn Fawn. As a finishing touch I added dots and highlights to the images. Check out the My Favorite Things shop for products by clicking on the link: My Favorite Things Thanks for visiting my blog. I will be announcing the next Guest Sweet Sunday Stamper later this week, so be sure to check back to see if you will be joining the design team for SSSC166! I made a card using this sweet PI girl - Sending You a Little Christmas. I switched the card shape up to a square because the image I picked was a little too tall for a regular A2 card. I just ordered the Let it Snowflake Die-namics from MFT and I couldn't wait to use them, so I'm now on Christmas card #2 or something pathetic like that. haha! I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored it with Copic Markers. The papers are from Winter Park 6x6 by Echo Park and I used some little scraps with the Fishtail Flags STAX Die-namics for the little flags underneath the snowflakes. The inside is simply stamped and I added another snowflake as well as a Simply Scallops Small Die-namics die cut and of course, added lots of stitching. The Sweet Sunday Stampers have more inspiration for you today - hop on over and see: Amy White - our fabulous guest stamper Dana White Dawn Easton Jackie Pedro Karen Motz Lori Tecler Lynn Put Melissa Hubert Sarah-Jane Kalé Tracy Clemente Vicki Burdick You can find these fantastic products in the MFT Boutique: Thanks so much for stopping by and I can't wait to see what you create this week! recipe - stamps: pi sending you a little christmas (mft) paper: not quite navy (su!), bravo burgundy (su!), choice snow white (te), winter park 6x6 (echo park) ink: memento tuxedo black accessories: copic markers, let it snowflake/square stax 1&2/rectangle stax 1&2/fishtail flags stax/simply scallops small die-namics dies (mft), sweet tooth buttons (mft), tiny twinkles (te), white perle thread, sewing machine, thread, foam tape
