Did you hear that MFT Stamps opened their vault this week and brought back some of their most sought-after retired sets? I LOVE when they do this!!! And a set I was hoping would come back has...Santa's Elves!!! I mean seriously, could this guy be any cuter?! For this card I stamped, die cut and colored the elf. The colors weren't my go-to but it was fun to try something new. And I tested out using grays to make a fluffy texture. My technique needs work but I think I like it. Then I used the Joy die to create a window and backed it with the Colorful Christmas Text paper. There's more about the vault release over on the MFT blog so pop over and take a peek! Thanks for stopping by! Carly

Hi there crafty friends! Welcome today at our monthly Christmas Card Challenge! No need for a sepcial reason to craft for Christmas during the year, lol, always fun to create one, and super handy to get your stock of cards ready for December! I created a fun mini slimline card for todays challenge, using the amazing Holly Jolly stamp set! I started this card by creating a mini slimline card base from white cardstock. I added a front panel, which I diecutted with the Mini Slimline Wonky Rectangle Die-namics. I love the wonky borders! I then blended a fun background on this piece, using different colours of Ranger Distress Oxide ink. I added loads of white splatters to my background, giving it a snow feel look. I then stamped all the fun images from the stamp set, diecutted them with the coordinating dies, coloured them with Copic Markers and added them on to my card. I added the fun sentiment from the set to finish this card with! Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

It's time!! It's time!!! MFT's August Card Kit, Stuffed Santa, is now available for purchase in the MFT Online Boutique!! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details and for more inspiration from the MFT Design Team. If this card kit doesn't start to get you in the Christmas mood, nothing will! Stuffed Santa is an awesome kit that can be paired with products you already own to make it your own, as I show you. I wanted to have another being present, as if it were speaking the sentiment and who better than Rudolph, who would be with Santa anyway, amirite? Rudolph is from Joyous Holidays Stamp Set and Die-namics from last year and perfect for the job at hand! To begin, I created my background, sponging Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress inks through Watercolor Wash Rectangle Stencil on Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper. Once Dry, I spattered with white craft paint for stars and set it aside. All images were stamped with Extreme Black hybrid ink on No Line Coloring card stock, cut with the coordinating Die-namics and colored with Copic markers. Except the chimney, since I wanted to extend the snow to represent the entire roof. That was done with a black Copic Multiliner pen and then fussy cut out. Once the sky was dry I heat embossed the sentiment and adhered it to a Sweet Tooth card stock base with foam tape. The moon was cut from Sweet Tooth card stock with A2 Circle STAX and stamped with Distressed Patterns Stamp Set and Cement Gray dye ink then adhered directly. The colored images were then popped up in the scene with foam tape. I love this! And that's it from me today! Thanks so much for stopping by, now go shop! All products from My Favorite Things unless otherwise noted. Stamps: Stuffed Santa, Joyous Holidays, Distressed Patterns Die-namics: Stuffed Santa, Joyous Holidays, A2 Circle STAX Stencils: Watercolor Wash Rectangle Dye Ink: Cement Gray Hybrid Ink: Extreme Black MFT Card Stock/Specialty Papers: Sweet Tooth, No Line Coloring Supplies/Tools: foam mounting tape, MISTI, Steel Snips, Large Metal Adapter Plate for Die-namics Other: Die-cutting machine, paper cutter, MISTI Grid Paper Pad, MISTI Bar Magnets, Copic markers, Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper, tape runner, white detail embossing powder, Embossing Magic, QuickStik Pick-up Tool, Sakura White Gelly Roll Pen, plastic eraser, Mini Ink Blending Tool, Mini Ink Blending Foam Pads, Scor-Buddy, Smart Grid Paper Pad, heat tool, Versamark, black Copic Multiliner pen, Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress inks

Hi friends! Have you already shopped the October Release? Today the MFT Design Team is showcasing some of the newest products, which are already available for purchase! And today, I have a clean and simple card to show you. I wanted to feature the moose with christmas balls and christmas lights in my design, so I stamped it directly on an A2 piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock, coming out from the bottom left side of my horizontal card. Since I colored with Copics, I stamped him with Memento b

It's also time for MFT & Friends when the Creative Team--and friends--share more ideas and inspiration using the new Release! I just love Birdie Brown's Christmas sELFies and colored up the handsome polar bear in the set. After cutting out the image with the square selfie Die-namics, I adhered it behind a Polaroid frame and stamped the sentiment on top. A strip of patterned paper was adhered to a Grout Gray card base, then I popped up the Polaroid and the card was done. All right, off you go! And today's the day to comment on all team members' blogs for a chance to win one of two $100 MFT gift vouchers! Good luck and happy shopping! * * * Edited to add: The winners have been chosen. Hello and welcome! I made another holiday card, similar to the last one I made a few days ago. Only this time it's Santa and his list! I plan to make several of these to send to my grandkids before Christmas. I think they will like them! The main difference in this card is that I used the pinked edge rectangle that I cut out for the mask on my polar bear card and inked it instead of right on the card front. I used all the same Distress Inks I used in greens, blues and purples. One other difference is I sprayed it with lots of shimmer spray and water, but it's hard to capture the shine in the picture. Here's a closer view: The stamps were colored with Zigs and a water brush, and they are all from MFT's "Jingle All the Way" set. The scalloped edge border is also from MFT. The pinked edge die is from Avery Elle. The santa and present are popped up on foam tape and the sparkly snow is really Nuvo glitter drops. This card was really a fun one to make! Thank so much for stopping by! I will enter this in: Double D Here Comes Santa Challenge Crafting By Designs Get Ready for Christmas Challenge Watercooler All About Christmas Challenge #146

Hi there everyone! We are kicking off today the MFT Stamps Vault Release Countdown with some amazing re-releases of previous retired products from Birdie Brown! I know you have all been waiting for this! I love the Birdie Brown images, so glad these sets are back! I created my first Christmas Card of the year for today, using the amazing Jingle All the Way! I started this card with a white card base in A2 size from white cardstock and then added a front panel, which I diecutted with the largest die from the Wonky Stitched Rectangle Die-namics. I blended a fun background on this panel, using pink and purple ink. I then added loads of white splatters on to this background, creating a snow look. I then stamped, diecutted and coloured the fun images from this christmas stamp set. I added these cozy bunch to my card using foam dimensionals. I added the fun sentiment to finish this card with. Thank you so much for watching today, hope to see you next time!

Hoi! Hello all, It’s time for the My FavoriteThings November release countdown! During the countdown, the MFT Design Team is sharing lots of projects featuring all of the new products. The new release will officially be available on November 10th at 10:00 am EST (= Europe: November 10th at 4:00 pm CET). Today we are showcasing a new set by Birdie Brown called Pile on the Hugs, i combined the fun set with the Launch Party Die-Namics. Vandaag laten we die nieuwste set van Birdie Brown zien genaamd Pile on the Hugs, ik combineerde de set met de Launch Party Die-Namics. So first of i made the base, i cut a stitched rectangle out of pattern paper, cut the snow strip out of Smooth White, the trees out of Jelleybean Green, Smooth White and Kraft. From the Smooth white trees i cut the top using the snow die in the Snow Buddies set. Finished the trees, out of one tree i made a bush. Stamped the images, colored them up using my Copic markers and cut them using the matching Die-Namics. Die cut all the parts of the Launch Party Die-Namics out of Smooth White and acetate. Decided were i wanted the snowbal to be and assembled the mechanisme using Karolyn's video as a guide. Stamped the sentiment on to the panel and added everything to a topfold Smooth White base card. Used Copic Colors: Skin - E000, E00, E21, E11, E04, R20 Brown Hair / shoes - E37, E35, E33, E31 Red Hair - Y21, YR12, YR14, E15, E18 Blue - B99, B97, B95, B93, B91 Yellow - Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11 Orange - YR09, YR07, YR04, YR02 White - C5, C3, C1 Snow - BG13, BG11, BG000 Green - YG67, YG63, YG03 Red - R39, R37, R35 Have a lovely day! Welcome to my blog! Today I have a second card featuring products that were just released from MFT's Vault and which are once again available for purchase. Here's what I've used to make this Christmas card:- Santa's Elves Santa's Elves Die-namics Icicle Edge Die-namics Stitched Snow Drift Die-namics A2 Stitched Rectangles Stax Set 2 Die-namics Small Brick Wall Stencil I started with a panel of Kraft cardstock and overlaid this with the stencil and then I ink blended through it with white pigment ink to create the brick wall design. I then created a white panel of cardstock. From one end I die cut with the Icicle Edge Die-namics and from the other I used Stitched Snow Drift Die-namics. I ink blended a little icy blue on to each using Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and then I used the largest die from the Stax set to die cut both the kraft and white pieces so that they were all sized the same. I stamped the sentiment to the icicle portion and then added both the icicle and snowy ground portions to the brick background using dimensional foam tape. This panel was then adhered to a red card base inside of which I added a white insert for writing on. I set this to one side. I stamped the images I was needing from Santa's Elves using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa. I coloured using the following Copic marker combinations:- Skin - E34, E11, E21, E00 Blushes - R22, R21, R00 Red - E59, E39, RV29, R24 Green - G29, G28, YG67, YG05 White - C5, C3, C1, C0 Tree - BG10, BG0000, C1, C0, YG31 I highlighted with a white gel pen then die cut with the coordinating die-namics and I applied the Elves and all other elements using either a single or double layer of dimensional tape. For the finishing embellishments I used Stickles glitter to add twinkle to the icicle edge and then more subtly to other elements in the scene and then I used white Nuvo drops to add in some dimensional snow. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and don't forget to visit and subscribe to the MFT You Tube Channel for endless how-to videos, inspiration and product reveals.

Hi friends! Have you already shopped the November Release? Today the MFT Design Team is showcasing some of the newest products, which are already available for purchase! And I have a monochromatic card to show you.It is a one layer scene, I decided to play with the two critters included in the stamp set and create a scene. I also thought it was the perfect occasion to use the mirror effect to create the reflections over the skating park.I firstly stamped the two critters with Memento Rich Cocoa
This is Day 2 of Spotlighting the November release by MFT Stamps and today I have a new Christmas card featuring a Yuzu Illustrated stamp set. I have used the following:- North Pole Pals North Pole Pals Die-namics A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 2 Die-namics I created a panel using the Stax die-namics and ink blended with Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink. I used a very light grey ink to stamp in snowflakes from the stamp set throughout the background and stamped the sentiment. I backed the panel with white craft foam and applied to an A2 white panel then to my card base. I used Stickles Glitter in 'Crystal' and very added very delicate dots of twinkle to the centre of each snowflake as well as each of the outside 'points' of the snowflakes - this subtle twinkle is absolutely beautiful as the card is handled and catches the light. I stamped the images I was needing from this adorable stamp set using Memento Ink in Rich Cocoa and coloured with the following Copic markers:- Polar Bear - C3, C1, C0, C00, E40 Penguins - W6, W5, W3, C1, C0 Mailbox - W6, W5, W3, R39, R29, C1 Red - E59, E39, E29, E27 I die cut the images. I glued the mailbox directly to the background and all other components were adhered with foam tape. I added some shadow underneath then and highlighted with a white gel pen. Thank you for stopping by my blog today and don't forget to visit and subscribe to the MFT You Tube Channel for endless how-to videos, inspiration and product reveals.
Hi everyone, I'm back with this week's MFT Wednesday Sketch Challenge! Are you ready? Here's this week's sketch. All of the details about the sketch challenge are available on the MFT Blog as well as in the weekly newsletter. The MFT Design Team will be on hand to provide plenty of inspiration to get you started. This was fun! I didn't want to just use some rectangle for the vertical element so I thought about what I could use instead and I came up with a light ray. First I created my background using Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Inks on Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock and spattered white craft ink for the stars. Once dry, I adhered that directly to a Sweet Tooth card stock base. Next I cut Little Town of Bethlehem Die-namics from Peach Bellini and Kraft card stocks and arranged it on the card front. Before I added the Kraft layer, I cut Translucent Vellum in a triangle and adhered it at the bottom and at the top with a tiny bit of clear foam tape. I stamped the sentiment, from Bitty Holiday Wishes on the Kraft and adhered it. The star was cut from Silver Sparkle card stock and adhered in place for the finish. And there you have it! Now it's YOUR turn to play! Remember, you can get all the details by visiting the MFT Blog. You have the chance to win a $50 MFT Voucher. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance! Thanks for stopping by! See you soon! All products from My Favorite Things unless otherwise noted.
