Definition Nerve cells arranged in networks communicate information with one another through neurotransmission which is the conduction of electrical messages from neuron to neuron. The electrochemical messages cross the synapses between neural cells by way of special chemical messengers called neurotransmitters. Neurotransmitters are chemicals found and produced in the brain to allow the transmission of impulses from one nerve cell to the next across synapses. They aid in the conduction of information throughout the body. These chemicals fit into specific receptor cells embedded in the membrane of the dendrite that either fuel up or excite action in the cells (excitatory)

Research into the mind-body connection has shown that your mind and emotions control your health just as much as what you eat, perhaps even more so.
Think about mindfulness, for a moment. Do you imagine someone sitting in a lotus position, eyes closed, deep breathing and simply not allowing the stress of the daily grind come to his or her mind? If this is how you imagine mindfulness, it can be hard to fathom how we can apply this to our daily, busy lives. Thankfully, that is certainly not true. We can practice mindfulness whether we are alone at home, at work, and almost during any other moment. In this article, we are going to talk about how you can be mindful throughout the day – even if you’re spread too thin. But first, what exactly is mindfulness? What is Mindfulness? Mindfulness is being fully aware of what we do and where we are without being too reactive to what is currently going on around us. In fact, mindfulness is not even an out-of-the-normal skill. It’s something you can actually do, and something you have even already done in the past – you just didn’t know it at the time. Mindfulness does not even necessarily begin and end in our heads; it can be practiced anytime and anywhere. So, how can you practice mindfulness during the day? Here are 3 ways to do it. 3 Ways to Practice Mindfulness Throughout the Day 1) Be mindful in the present moment Being mindful in the present moment means you are fully aware of what is happening to you and your surroundings. It means you are observing what is happening around you, what you are doing, and even how you think and feel at the present. For instance, instead of rushing to finish your breakfast, try to observe and appreciate what you eat and drink for the morning. Take an extra moment to savor the flavor, notice texture, and inhale aromas. After finishing your breakfast, you can also go out and observe the beauty of the morning. These are just some examples of being mindful in the present moment. 2) Make the time to be mindful Although mindfulness is something we can all do, it’s also something we need to make time for. Make time for mindfulness the same way you would make time eating your lunch and taking a bath – you probably didn’t even think about “making time” with these activities simply because they’re a common event. 3) Perform mindfulness exercises Lastly, make time to perform mindfulness exercises. “Bodyscan”, “mindful stretching” and “three-minute breathing” are just some of the mindfulness exercises that you can do each day to be mindful. Flexibility in Practicing Mindfulness While you need to take time to practice mindfulness, it does not mean that practicing mindfulness should consume a lot of your time. So, even if you are a busy person – for example, an in-demand professional, a college student, or a mom who is busy running errands and taking care of her children – you can practice mindfulness without altering your day-to-day schedule. Be flexible when practicing mindfulness. If you cannot do mindfulness exercises in the morning, make time in the afternoon or evening. Or maybe, adjust your schedule in the morning so that you can wake up a few minutes earlier to practice mindfulness exercises while lying in bed. There are no strict rules when practicing mindfulness, just like there are no strict rules when enjoying a smoothie or cleaning the house. Just set aside what time you can to practice mindfulness and before you know it, it will come naturally to you. Inhale, exhale. Always Pure, Always Natural. #watercressglow Buy Now
